I think you can fairly assume that a statue is pretty difficult to fire an arrow through, Zerg. The squares that contain the hoods of the snakes provide cover, as do the entirety of the humanoid statues. The perspective on the gargoyle statues is fucked up so they're only really occupying the one square as well. Height? I don't know, call it 10 feet handwave handwave handwave

I really need to start using some kind of overlay system to mark cover/impassable areas, but I hate to occlude the map with more icons...

I'm also curious if I have line of sight to the howler from my current square, or if I'll have to duck out from the statue to see him.

Just an advance note: since Garr's probably going to attack Garland it should be mentioned that if he scores a hit... well, Garr cannot hit for less than 8 damage, so. We'll just skip Garland's turn if that happens.

How about at the beginning of every encounter, you post an overview of the terrain indicating which squares have cover, are difficult, etc. Maybe through overlays much like the way you're indicating aura.

Then subsequent updates need not have these occluding icons.

Zerg if you ask me what squares block shots and I tell you and then you try to fire through the very squares I identify that is a good way for you to get hurt. Because I have to correct the narrative by having a man with a huge sword stab you.

Like so: Q110 > R109 > R108 > R107 > R106 > R105 (6 squares)

Plus, I'm indeed assuming that squares P105 through Q106 provide cover (though the statue does not quite fully occupy the spaces). Hence, the cover penalty. I am not factoring in superior cover because I can trace two lines from me to the yeti

P.S. If it's a choice between getting off the attack and taking an OA, or forfeiting the attack, I'd much rather take the latter and attempt diplomacy on a mage

Just so everyone knows, i'm probably going to be away from internet access for a while next week. I just got told that i'm going camping with my family and going to my grandparents' during the coming week instead of napping at home, so yeah. I'll be away Sunday and Monday camping (no internet, obviously) and Friday through the next Sunday at my grandparents' (Grandpa thinks computers are evil, so.)

Well, my speed will allow me to reach him, correct? I can move past allies with no penalty, IIRC.

Also, when I take my turn I'm gonna go ahead and make the saving throw at the beginning of it. I know it won't take effect until the END of my turn, but it'll factor in to my flavor text. Also expect a character question PM if everything goes as I hope.

Alright, so here's the statblock for the black mage; I don't care which of you controls him so whoever's around when his turn comes up just take the reins. Also keeping in mind that he's already expended LIT and SLEP so it's just shitty fireballs from here to Cleveland.
