Call of Duty 4 on PS3 freezing when I go onto multiplayer

When I play CoD on single player, its just fine, however as soon as I enter multiplayer mode, it begins to erratically freeze at the MP menu screen, and when I even try to enter a game or make a game or even go to an invite, I get massive freezing. Anyone who has had this game on the ps3 faced this issue? My ps3 is only a couple of months old, and I just bought CoD4:GOTY a couple of days ago.

Hmm, that has never happened to me before, and I've played the game online almost since it came out. I actually just played it yesterday and again I had no problems. My only suggestion is to make sure you have all the updates (it should prompt you to download them as soon as you load up the game) and try again, but other than that I don't know what else you can do.

It's a console game. Chances are you won't get a user fix.

Try another CoD4 disc, and try the same disc on another PS3.

Otherwise call the vendor/Sony.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
