Hmm, that has never happened to me before, and I've played the game online almost since it came out. I actually just played it yesterday and again I had no problems. My only suggestion is to make sure you have all the updates (it should prompt you to download them as soon as you load up the game) and try again, but other than that I don't know what else you can do.
