Roommate effort failed.

Such a bummer. I was so close to having my little brother and his girlfriend move in next weekend since they're going to school as well but my little brother is a tightwad and suddenly changed his mind because he doesn't wanna have to fork out 250 a month (his girlfriend would pay 250 as well) just to stay here. Keep in mind that where he's staying now is about a 35-40 minute daily drive compared to me being only 5 minutes from their school. So in a way they'll each be paying close to that in GAS and mileage to come back and forth 5 days a week anyway. Well, whatever.

This really screws it up for me because I NEED a roommate at this point. Going part time means I need the extra rent money to survive long term here. I think I'll be ok for a bit but I really need to get a roommate hopefully within the next 3 or 4 months. All of my friends get to continue living at home with their parents and have no intention of getting out and living on their own. And some of them are older than ME! This also messes things up for me because they wont be living here to watch my cats for me. Now I gotta find a cat-sitter since I'll be gone for too long in Japan.

Too bad no GFFers would be interested in moving to California. I have one internet friend who is moving here this month except he's moving to LA. =\ At this point I'm asking just 450-500 and that covers utilities and everything. Not a bad deal considering apartments cost well over 900 a month for a single bedroom not including utilities. Plus I live in the city meaning tons of job opportunity.
