"We're assuming it was male, although they did have a mask on," Clark said.

Officers combed the desert around the middle school. A nearby elementary school and high school also were on lockdown as officers sought the caped crusader.

The result no Batman.

"It's just one of those interesting little stories that we looked into but we couldn't find anyone," Clark said.

Nedda Shafir, a spokeswoman for the Cave Creek Unified School District, said putting all the schools on lockdown was a precautionary measure.

"We didn't want to take any chances," Shafir said. "We just don't want to put anyone at risk."

Haha anyways I can understand the 'precaution' of it, but still...it must be really uneventful over there.

I've done it. I figured out their master plan. Batman runs across the field and jumps the fence, causing a distraction. While this is going on, Robin activates the car bombs, and sets it up to make it look like the Muslim guy who works at the nearest gas station did it.

The dark knight of Gotham would never play decoy while his sidekick gets to blow up cars. Obviously Clayface was attempting to turn Arizona into a giant mudpool, and Batman had just finished thwarting his maniacal plot. With the world's paranoia these days, it's not suprising, but seen as the last thing Batman did was protest for the rights of fathers in divorced relationships, I don't see why there's so much fuss...

I dont see the big deal... we have a kid who walks around in a batman mask all the time on our campus. He almost always has a mask of some sort on, and uses the excuse that it should be Halloween year-round.

Maybe it was him! He just quickly moved across the country... and back again. O_O

Ridiculously bored. So are the news stations here; without any actual video of what happened, one of the networks resorted to stock footage of the old Adam West Batman as part of their reporting.

Desert Arroyo is probably the middle school my sister will be going to in a couple years, so I guess she'll have to be on the lookout now.
