The Freelancing one is also kinda bullshit. Most of us can probably pull that off on a regular enough basis to not make it impossible or anything, but for most people that's probably unobtainable.

Multi-team is Assist Central though; bet I could probably have at least half of those assists if not more by the time I hit 150 kills if I did it all in there.

Freelancing over the course of both turns of an Invasion game shouldn't be unobtainable for most people. But yeah, it's easier to just play Multiteam or Rumble Pit. And they are meant to be 'Challenges', after all.

I got ten assists in three multiteam matches and two of those were Rocket Races. 40 is probably not that unobtainable for anyone who really wants it.

-As you can see above, the vocal minority is bitching about the cap; sketch mentions in the update by hitting Major he is now in the top 97%.
-You are still earning cR even at the cap; when the cap is raised you will have all of the cR while at the cap. So capped players will likely skyrocket ranks and armory options once the cap is raised.
-The Cap is in place for security reasons (to identify/prevent abuse, etc). The second reason is that they have "cool ideas" on how to raise the cap via "communal effort."
-According to Sketch, he expects that the cap will be raised "in the next month or two."

-2nd October Matchmaking update tentatively expected 10/19. They are hoping to roll out dedicated Infection and Snipers Playlists, as well as "one or more" Forge map variants into Matchmaking. Nothing final yet, will be be posted when dates and details are available (likely next BWU).

-Trueskill is still collecting data in the background for player matching, which may explain why there sometimes still appears to be a disparity in skill level in matches, etc.

-Only ~5% of players have completed the Legendary Solo achievement, and ~10% have the Elite assassination Campaign achievement.


The cap bullshit is largely rendered moot by the fact that you continue to still earn cR at the cap, and I can understand the security reasons (although it still sucks). Still think it's somewhat bullshit that it's going to be a month or two before it gets raised, although if only a fraction of a percent of players are actually at the cap I don't know how much I can blame them. Also would be fucking awesome if Infection gets a playlist, or at least gets into other playlists outside of Rumble Pit.

So one of the Daily Challenges today is kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach for 4,000 cR (which is awesome). However:

-4 games of Score Attack today = 4,000 cR
-50 games of Firefight Matchmaking for Weekly Challenge = 3,000 cR

Yep. I got all the challenges done today in 4 games of score attack and two multi teams. Finally hit Major and got my EVA too which was nice. Kinda want blue visor but I'm saving for the black one when I hit Lt. Col.

As far as Legendary Solo goes, I'm having trouble surviving until the elevator returns on Exodus.

For that one, I ran all the way back to the entrance to the area (where the hammer dudes spawn) and started back there moving back towards the elevator, picking off the bad guys at range. The way it worked out, it was like they were the ones defending the elevator from me.

This game is a whole lot easier when I am not having to fight the people they match against Devo, Tails, and Daravon. In the 9 multiplayer matches I've played today by myself, I have gone positive in every game, totaling +55.

But the people they match against Devo, Tails and Daravon often take the game quite seriously and get really mad when you either beat them or just start pissing about which is always hilarious.

Don't give me that, you might not go 25/2 every match, but in all the games that I've played with you between this one and Halo 3, you seem to finish at or near the top of the board every round, regardless of the competition. You'd have been putting up 40 kills a round if you'd have been in the games I was in today.

Yeah, with pretty much any "group" of people I play with, the last few days we are just getting dominated all over the place, in any playlist. I still do fine in Multi-team (and seemingly SWAT), but everything else is me taking it up the ass no matter who's playing or what we're playing. I asked over on GAF, they HAVE to have flipped some kind of trueskill switch but it's still not calibrated right yet or something. Almost to a man starting Friday it seems it went to shit for pretty much everyone I play with.
