Surprisingly easy, actually. Hole up at the defensive location, don't show too much of yourself and save the big weapons for the biggest foes. I only died twice doing that section, and like you I thought it was going to be incredibly painful.

The Package on Legendary is so easy.

1) Grab Jetpack
2) Steal Banshee
3) Win

That's pretty much how I did it. No deaths either, although my 'shee did get extremely damaged at some point, but this was solved by flying overtop of the other banshee, hopping out and skyjacking it in midair, then wiping out the last wave.

I still haven't missed one yet, and I'm fairly sure Shake hasn't either. At some point (probably sooner rather than later) I'll miss one, at which point I'll care considerably less. Also part of my caring right now is to get the extra cR to hit Lt. Colonel, which I should in the next day or two anyway. Shake has much more free time than me, as well as considerably less games to play, so I imagine he'll probably keep his streak going for quite some time.

They're all super easy except the Sword kills one, which doesn't take terribly long but is just really annoying.

Also only 5,375 cR from Lt. Colonel, fucking FINALLY. Will probably wake up early in the morning and hit it before work maybe. I'm seriously considering taking a break from Reach once I hit it, either by playing a lot less or possibly not at all. My performance has gone to complete shit 90% of the time days in a row now, and it's just frustrating me.

number one update I want to see: one flag ctf on paradiso removed from big team battle. every single fucking match I've played has been the most boring stalemate ever. two or three people on the defending team just park mongooses and bubble shields atop the flag while everyone else just blows each other up without consequence. kinda fun, but hella stupid.

Hit Lt. Colonel; awesome how apparently my Achievements are glitched because on the 360 it says I have 48 out of 49 achievements at 995/1000, but on xbox.com it correctly shows 49/49 1000 (also one of the 360 screens shows 49/49).

Anyway, I'm done with Reach for a while. Now that I have the last achievement, I have no desire to play Matchmaking at all. Playlists mostly suck, BTB and Invasion desperately need more maps, spawns are broken on several maps, I could go on and on.

And remember, Bungie held back a substantial part of the armory to unlock in the future! How long will it take then, four years? Five? With Microsoft wanting the Halo dev cycle to be sooner than 3 years how many new Halo games will be out? One? Two?

Now let's break up that 27,270 cR. If you assume the average matchmaking game earns you 500 cR and lasts 10 min, you would have to play 54.5 games or 9 hours per day! Now you can assume challenges will give you about 4,000 cR of that, meaning you'd only need to earn 23,270 cR by yourself, but that still equates to 46.5 games or 7.8 hours! And many challenges may be in campaign which will add more time.

Also if you think about the cR reduction where if you bring your profile online you are capped at 1,000 cR per day if you play offline. I know TONS of people without XBL. Only about 56% of 360 owners have it. And then if you bundle 2 day trials with the game guess what? That other 44% goes online and gets screwed. They are stuck at 1,000 cR per day forever. And how long will it take them to get it all? Oh only 27 years! Most Halo players aren't even that old, me included (although getting close).

Can we get a double Credits weekend already? (I don't quite understand the 1,000 Cr bit he goes into at the end though)

If you're playing offline (Including a Silver subscription) you are limited to earning 1,000 credits a day, presumably to stop offline hacking where Bungie can't keep an eye on what people are doing.

This is indeed the case. The Bungie forums are full of people who don't have Live subscriptions bitching about people who do have it credit farming.

Thing is though, if people are hacking their 360s offline to get extra credits, who actually cares? Surely it'd make more sense to adjust people's credits when they did go online rather than to limit them in the first place?

Also, I can see Bungie in future putting some harder challenges up for more credits. At the moment they're all basically kill x bad guys in y mode and none have been too challenging for committed players but who's to say they won't start sticking in "Finish the whole campaign solo legendary using only side-arms" for 100,000 odd credits?

Why can't people just pick a couple of the hats that they like, get those, and not worry about buying the 7+ million cR worth of crap that they won't ever even use? That seems like it would be the most efficient method.
