But really leveling up isn't that hard and not everyone had to play all day to do it. The daily challenges themselves are often worth stupid amounts of credits and often take less than an hour or two (not to mention commendation stacking that comes along with doing them).

Yeah, I haven't really messed with Score Attack terribly much. I've played a lot more Matchmaking and ignored some challenges.

I'm pretty much with everyone here with, "Fuck SWAT/Snipers on BTB", whoever thought that these were good gamemodes to put into the game deserve a swift kick in the nuts.

Aside from that, I've really enjoyed the game overall. Even though it takes quite a break from the continuity of the books(Halo: Fall of Reach), it still ends up being quite a ride. It almost feels like Halsey's journal is meant to semi-repair/flesh out the continuity the game breaks, even if they are minor patches.

Also, "Lone Wolf" was beautiful. Probably the best way to end the game. I was thinking they'd leave some sort of cliff hanger where your character got away, but they summed it up very nicely.

Yep, apart from doing the Challenges I'm not even making an effort to rank up and I'm already Major Grade 3.

The distance between Captain to CG1 to CG2 to CG3 is only a few thousand more than the jump from WO Grade 3 to Captain.

Which one would that be? Personally, I'm not having too much trouble, although the one that requires not dying for 3 Firefight matches, most people seem to be getting that one by hiding in a corner of the map while the rest of the players take care of the enemies. :P

Firefight matchmaking is one round, not three. It specifically says 3 rounds in a single match. Is it obtainable by doing three easy perfect gruntpocalypses?

That's what I assumed it was too, but I only got the credit for getting through one entire match, and the challenge bar still says 1 out of 3.

I also ended up dying during the 4th wave of a match, and then a message came up saying "Challenge Failed".

It was pure luck I even got one, though. I did have to use up just about every health pack on the map to do it, unfortunately. :P

Grunt on holdout is an easy perfection, as you can hide in the initial spawn point with armour lock and basically they all funnel through two doors right in front of you. There is an ammo refill right on the wall, too.

AL is to negate any lucky grenade tosses they get in there (which should be few and far between)

Well yesterday his excuse was he was watching Tom & Jerry in-between rounds. Why? Because he is dumb.

Bulletproof has been fixed. It's just survive one round of firefight without dying now.

Embrace Armor Lock and you'll learn to love it. It owns, literally the only way to counteract the hilarious nadenanza that still goes on in MM (plus it serves as a good counter to sword/gravity hammer shit since shotgun counters just get you a mutual death). I feel naked in Armor Lock-less gametypes.

That thing has such a massive cooldown it can't fix every mistake, and not to mention if you just go "let me hold it down the whole way until it runs out" then it's really easy to just stand there and wait for it.
