I've been on recently at early AM hours west coast time (like 6-8AM) since girlfriend hassles me if I want to play at night but we get up for work at 5 AM.

For instance, I have this conflicting set of emotions every time a Tank shows up.

I want to fight it. But I want to run! So I attempt to do both at once while screaming!

I was pretty happy when I discovered that you could hide on top of the boilers, but, yeah, those brick walls must actually be made out of styrofoam.

I'm curious to know if people have tried the base floor of the lighthouse itself at all.

We did that last night, and while it worked okay, its biggest problem is that there are too many ways for Infected to get in. There's the door and window on one side, and two breakable sections of wall on two more sides. The fourth wall that doesn't have a breakable wall is smack dab in the middle of two entry points so it's pretty useless. The biggest problem, essentially, is that it gets cramped really fast and fire tends to hit as many players as it does Infected.

That strategy DID get us our Bronze time on that map last night, if I recall correctly.

And in case anyone hasn't seen this, Valve posted a graph of the spawn times (not including the "lulls" where they make nothing spawn for a while) as the rounds get longer.



While the lulls apparently get longer as time goes on, the likelihood that most people see them isn't too great. Which sucks.

Seeing that graph say that tanks will eventually start showing up about every 5 seconds scares the shit out of me.

I think what I'd like to see now is a handicap system for points, because a team of randoms and I were doing well against another team until one and then two people left.

Trying to find the most bizarre places to hide has trumped actually surviving for me.

I'd be down for versus mode anytime. I'm still not sure about the death toll map as far as being a hunter goes. A lot of rooftops that -could- be used for high damage pounces are inaccessible. On top of that I've hit the 'ceiling' of the game map on several occasions as well.

Haven't played Dead Air yet...so if you see me online in the gamingforce group, give me a holler and I'll be happy to join up.

Skills, Tritoch, Chaotic, LeHah, Paco, one of Chaotic's friends, Plarom, and I just spent 2 and a half hours wrecking each other's shit in Versus. Versus with alltalk is fucking FANTASTIC, because no one can coordinate anything and it's just 8 people talking shit to each other.

The best part was how we tied 3 times, because we kept on getting to the SAME POINTS in the levels before we killed each other. Skills also managed to take out the entire team as the tank by throwing a TRASH CAN right down an alley.

Anyone who has Left 4 Dead, get in on one of these. Anyone who has it for PC, get it for 360 you faggot.

Having a computer that runs the internet does not mean it can run L4D well.
