Not a massive amount of surprise to be had there, all the nods seem to have gone the way you'd expect, certainly given the buzz floating about. I'm glad to see that Californication got some nominations, I've really been enjoying that show and David Duchovny for Best Actor (TV Musical or Comedy) wouldn't be out of line.

I just hope Tom Cruise doesn't win best supporting actor for Tropic Thunder. His role wasn't even funny, it's just like 'hey it's TOM CRUISE in a fat suit, how crazy is that!''

It's a shame that it didn't get a nod for Best Drama, and a travesty that Walton Goggins didn't get a nod for his tear-jerking pitch-perfect performance this season. The Globes have never really done much for me, so I'll save my heavy-drinking-level disappointment for The Emmys, when The Shield will probably get ignored again.

I'm glad Downey Jr. got a nod for Tropic Thunder, though Ledger is sure to walk away with that award without much trouble.

Really happy to see Kate Winslet getting some serious love this year, same with Mickey Rourke. Not at all surprised by all the blowjobbery that Slumdog got, but was honestly shocked when it won Best Original Score. Seriously now, that's ridiculous.
