Yeah, the Japanese version was oddly slow in being announced.

Some new info concerning the Wii port:

- First Person Mode with motion control
- Game has been re-balanced (difficulty)
- Quicksave feature for dungeons
- 16:9 support
- Wii Remote/Nunchuk control
- Classic Controller also supported

Lots of new screens here:

Well, this looks like a really nice game to keep an eye on. Definitely going to my wishlist. We'll see how things go once it's out in the market.

Long live Atlus. <3

So aside from Trackjacket's post, does anyone have a definitive list of the differences between the PS2 and Wii versions? I'm kinda torn as to what to get. On the one hand, a Wii RPG would be great, plus the obvious 480p/16:9 support. On the other, though, I'm a little skeptical of using the Wiimote to play an RPG originally designed for a traditional controller. I could always pick up the classic controller, but if I already have a PS2...

Yargh. I hate to be that guy who gets both versions, but...

Sorry if this' off topic.

But on the side of Atlus. I also hope they bring some more of it's Super Robot Taisen series over. Like the newer voiced versions. Super Robot Taisen (for the PS2)

Being a Wii game doesn't guarantee that. There are tons of games on the Wii without either feature. Plus, there are quite a few games on the PS2 with 480p/16:9 support.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

We got the announcement before Japan did.

NeoGAF has a list of YTD software sales up. They're disappointing. I wonder how well a Super Robot Taisen game would do on the Wii.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I know, that's why I said the announcement was oddly slow. If we hadn't gotten the announcement first, then there would have been no indication that Japan would be getting a Wii port (because evidence of said Wii port wouldn't exist).

Wasn't the excuse for why we never get/got any Super Robot Taisen games was because of copyright issues or some such shit? I know a good deal of these games aren't in original settings (we got the OGs on the GBA) so they can't bring them over here because the rights for the Gundams and all the other stuff is spread all over different companies outside of Japan.

True, but from what I remember, the OG games did very well.

That's pretty much what Atlus told me when they eMailed me.

No shit? I could've sworn that 480p and widescreen were supposed to be requirements for Wii games (the way certain HD resolutions were on the PS3 and Xbox 360). Did Nintendo drop that requirement, or just not apply it in the US, or...what?

Well, anyway, if that's true, then it's more ammo for the case for getting the PS2 version.
