[PS2] Ace Combat Thread (a.k.a. We Do Not Have Air Superiority)

I'm not too sure, I haven't tried. I don't want to get a FISSION MAILED when it said "good job" in the previous screen after taking down the last bandit. I guess I should try sometime. Timberwolf you give it a try since you're playing it now.

Also, can you "crash" when you take off? I'd love to see someone fail at taking off. Looks at self. Oh wait, I want to try sometime where right when you take off, you try to land again before the control tower says you're cleared. That'd be great.

I've crashed many times while trying to land re-arming trips. The game just lets you attempt the landing again, while giving you the option of skipping it at any time.

Then once you're done, you're sent back to the mission where you left off.

Nothing's riding on these landings.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Oh I see, then I guess just before I touch down to re-arm/fuel, I'll use the remaining missiles to shoot down the friendly base.

But I've gotten better. And this is my first time playing an Ace Combat game, so everything is a challenge. It's also a lot of fun.

mission still ends if you crashed in landing. If I recall correctly, after saving the president from angry belkans (yes, I am a bad enough pilot), I tried to carrier land. Right before I hit the deck, my plane stalled and rammed right into the ship's rear. I still get a mission complete though.

Who even bothers to land their plane anymore. I just hit eject once I see the aircraft carrier.

No, there isn't any sound test I'm afraid.

But don't you have to beat the game in order to unlock it? This was the case in 05, and IIRC, in 4 as well.

Yeah, now that you mention it. Hopefully this is the case with this game as well then.

Well, given that they used the AC5 engine and aside from sprucing up the explosions and other minor things, it wouldn't be wrong to expect it to be the same case here.

BTW, the trailer back there, maybe that's simply the movie that plays before the title screen like in 05?
