Yeah there usually is with spot the difference.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
![]() I bet that game is loads of fun and I'm really disappointed that Tingle fans outside of Japan won't be able to enjoy it. ![]() SPOT THE DIFFERENCE also sounds like a party, but I really think I'll wait on that one. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Here's to downloading ROMS.
![]() I was speaking idiomatically. |
Anyway, my L button is starting to fail on me again. :|
I'm come to two conclusions... Either call Nintendo Customer Support, or go and splurge on a Black DS. I have the the imported Navy Blue one right now :| Advice? What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
FELIPE NO |
But since his is imported, even if the warranty is still good, I imagine it would only be so in Japan (meaning he would have to contact and send it to them if there was any chance of getting a free replacement, though the shipping would make it costly anyway). He could probably get NoA to fix it, but he would definitely have to pat for it, I imagine.
My advice is to just get the black one at some place like Best Buy, and get an extended warranty plan with them. That way, if anything goes wrong with it within a two-year window, you can just take it back to the store and get a new one. And it's only like $20 or something, which isn't that bad since it's longer than Nintendo's warranty, and you wouldn't have to worry about sending anything back to them (i.e. being without your DS for weeks). Most amazing jew boots ![]() |
I'll probably just go for the black one under the extended warranty... This is the bad karma I keep getting for not getting warranties on EITHER one of my DSs... But then again, Lik-Sang didn't say anything about warranties at the time... I was just hoping it wouldn't happen again. I think that's the bad thing about the DS. Those damn shoulder buttons.
I might just give it sometime though... The only thing I really need the L button for right now is Mario Kart for the DS Olympics, but I could just use the X button or something... But I doubt my parents would actually notice if I got a black one or not. In comparison (from afar, anyway) it's hard to tell which one is which. They're just really stingy about what I spend towards video games... I don't care either way. I just have to pay off other things before I can focus on a DS. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
![]() How has this not been posted already. You're all horrible. Go sleep on the couch. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Yeah I heard about that recently, fucking awesome. Can't wait for it.

New Ouendan? OH WIN.
How ya doing, buddy? |
I STILL NEED TO GET THE FIRST OUENDAN. WTF. At least they're coming out with a sequel to EBA.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
They'd like to make EBA2 before porting over Ouendan to North America, but nothing official. FELIPE NO |
What he said, that's where I heard it from. :|
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Has anybody played Izuna: Legend of the Enemployed Ninja? It seems to be pretty good and seems rather interesting. And I've heard that it's has quite a bit replay value. Any opinions on the game? I've looked up some GameFAQs reviews and there's only 4 of them, but they're all pretty positive. I looked up IGN and Gamespot, both of which gave it mediocre scores. But I read through it, and it seems to be a hit or miss game with gamers, with the number one complaint being that it's rather difficult.
So yeah, Opinions? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I've played Izuna. It's quite good, but only if you enjoy hard games. And only if you enjoy dungeon crawlers, for that matter.
The attack system is turn-based and lets you plan your moves like throwing shurikens and planting traps which you can lure enemies into. The down site there is almost NO escaping enemies, and running away is pointless. But yeah, the game is very hard. You lose all items (but not your level and experience) if you die in a dungeon. You can save every time you find an exit to the dungeon's level, as well as exit. Just try some youtube videos to see if it's your thing. Also, Ouendan 2: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There's nowhere I can't reach. |
How is everyone enjoying their handheld?
The DS Lite is now available outside of Japan in Ice Blue for Australia and New Zealand only. I can't find much more information on it apart from that, and my local store is selling them (no they're not imported). Totally surprised me. I'm really surprised at how expensive the limited edition DS Lites are. $300US easily for something like Wonderful World LE, and even the most basic colours are $200. This is coming out in Amerika sometime this month: ![]() And.. that's pretty much it. How ya doing, buddy? |
I don't think I've seen any of the limited edition DSs over here in England. The yellow Pikachu one looked quite funky, though I'm rather happy with my white one really.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Considering the fact I need a new DS really, really soon, I've been considering my options...
At the moment I have a Navy Blue DS that I imported. The top screen is fizzing out and my R button has failed me again. I've been trying to think of what color to get my new DS as... Black is really common, White is common, but Pink is uncommon... But Pink just seems a little weird. I MIGHT get that Crimson/Black one, but i'm not sure I'm so hot about the colors... I dunno. T_T I was speaking idiomatically. |
I'm hoping that the ice blue color is released stateside before I need a new DS. The main turnoff when I first bought a Lite was trading in the nice blue color for black, and I'm a bit surprised they haven't bothered to bring over the rest of the colors considering how well it's selling.
That red and black DS is pretty spiffy-looking if they ever sell it outside of a package, though. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
And curses!
![]() The package is $150!! And the coupon I have for Target expires on the same day! Oh well, I should try to save up enough anyway. <_< FELIPE NO |
I really like that crimson red one! but I don't like the DS lite, the buttons are too small and close to each other for my taste :\
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
- America isn't getting it - I'm wealthy and have too much money - My current DS has a dead pixel mid right of the top screen - I don't like how the Polar White buttons are yellowing. Yellowing pisses me off, really. I don't eat when I'm playing games or anything like that, but the texture they've used for the L and R buttons means that it's bound to collect dirt easily. I went out of my way to import a "Dragon Guard Mask" from Canada. It uses a non-silicone texture case and it fits perfectly. The current DS Lite that I'm using looks brand new when the case is off, but the case itself is quite dirty.. which means it's doing the job right. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
America will probably get it. Eventually. We got the eyeball burning pink DS months before America~ The only real exclusive things we get are useless, like the GBA with Rip Curl advertising all over it for Australia and the All Blacks themed one for New Zealand.
Just wipe down your DS with a damp cloth really hard until the skin starts rubbing off your fingers, that removes the yellow tinge from the shoulder buttons. =) My DS lite is a mess at the moment, I keep the screens nice and clean but the rest of it's falling to bits. I got a crack in the hinge a while ago which has become worse (no thanks to like, dropping it on the train and stuff) and it's basically holding together with sticky tape now. Good stuff. The R button sticks too. Thanks Metroid Pinball. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
![]() I still like the original DS. It's durable. Hell, if it had the 4 levels of brightness, I'd definitely use it. No slippery iPod-like feel to the unit like the DS Lite. But seeing as how the DS Lite is selling literally thousands a week, but the original DS is selling about 90 (in Japan per week), I guess everyone has moved on. ![]() The only thing I don't like about the DS Lite is that the little square grippy things on the back of the console (there's two of them, they're used to keep the console from sliding around) and the L/R buttons, get dirty. Aside from that I think it's a really good console. Actually my DS never leaves my room, despite it being a portable console, so >_> This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
