Yet you strayed even further from the topic with this post. If you go any farther, you'll hit an iceberg, captain.

The Godfather: Part II

Buono, il brutto, il cattivo, Il

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Rear Window

12 Angry Men

The Usual Suspects

Cidade de Deus

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

Goodfellas

Citizen Kane

Two of the above movies I do want to watch, one being "One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest", and I love Jack Nicholson, so I should make time for this one sooner or later. The other being Dr. Strangelove, as I'd like to see a 1960's take on Nuclear weapons twisted with from what I read, comedy.

I was speaking idiomatically.

#1 The Godfather (1972)*
#3 The Godfather: Part II (1974)*
#5 Buono, il brutto, il cattivo, Il (1966)
#6 Casablanca (1942)
#12 One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)*
#13 Rear Window (1954)
#15 12 Angry Men (1957)
#16 Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
#18 Cidade de Deus (2002)
#19 Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)

* I own, but I don't have the time, or I'm not in the mood.

A lot of these movies are before 1980, and I usually don't watch movies before then. Not because of the special effects... just the quality of the image. I fap at HD quality images ftw.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

So you ignore the majority of movies because of grain? What will be your defense when HD quality becomes a thing of the past? "Oh, I only watch things with the best quality picture" is a stupid, stupid thing to say.

Shows you the difference a few hundred thousand votes can make to rankings. Muriel's Wedding only at #74, Citizen Kane only at #92? Love Actually even making the list?

I'm going to join in on the head shaking going on in this thread. That is terrible. That is beyond terrible. It's Beyond 2000. It's so terrible that the talking robot pushing a little girl on the swing set in the intro sequence is crying, and it's not programmed to do so. It's that terrible.

Certainly explains alot, but why couldn't you like one of the seperate Alien and Predator movies since all of them combined slaughter AVP. AVP should not even exist.

1. The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
2. The Lord of the Rings: Two Towers
3. The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring

4. The Matrix Revolutions
5. The Matrix Reloaded
6. The Matrix
7. Titanic [1996]
8. The Notebook
9. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
10. Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2
-enters cheat code for extension-
11. Click [2006]

The first three in bold are hands down the best movies I've ever seen in my life. Watching them in the theaters was an experiance I'll never forget, it was quite simply, revolutionary. The rest of the list are just movies I can think of off the top of my head. I know alot of people will disagree with The Matrix and Titanic especially.

EDIT: LMAO! I didn't fully read the topic, my bad. The best movies I've NEVER seen? Gee, thats a tough one. I'll go with some other people here and say The Godfather, I've heard alot about the movies but never seen them. It's kind of hard to name a 'best' movie if I've never seen it.

How ya doing, buddy?

Guest, there's a list in the first post of supposed best movies if you can't think of any.

I'm only slightly ashamed to admit that I have not seen a single one of those top ten movies, save Star Wars Episode V, and that was so long ago I basically remember nothing about it.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Dude, I've liked many a romantic story. I dig the romance. I hate badly written, hackneyed, predictable, trite romance. Like the Notebook.

1. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest ( Kesey said the movie sucks, so i don't wanna see it. Plus Jack Nicholson Annoys the fuck outta me in most movies )
2. The Usual Suspects ( dislike Bryan Singer )
3. Memento ( only saw bits and pieces, seemed blah to me )
4. Sunset Blvd. ( never even heard of it before )
5. Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Le ( Indie kids embracing this film like it's their child has turned me off from ever wanting to see it )
6. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind ( Jim carry has an awesome music taste, but i fuckin hate his movies. Plus Hipsters love this film. )
7. Untergang, Der ( never heard of it )
8. L.A. Confidential ( Can't tolerate Kim basinger )
9. The Departed ( Haven't been to the theater in about 4 years )
10. Million Dollar Baby ( no desire to see it as Clint will always be Blondie to me and i can't stand seeing act as a washed up old fogie ).

I'm kinda disappointed to see that alot of classics are never viewed by alot of people. Jesus fuckin christ. No wonder Cinema these days is a cesspool of pure shit.

Dont worry man you dont need to waste your time coming back to these guys and there ignorance (i see the the hipocracy in this but mine was an igorant mistake not diliberate.) some people just like putting down others dont know why. It doesnt mean your gay because a movie seemed to be a ramance. Many real men can sit down and enjoy a romance. They are the ones getting and keeping real women. So whoes to say who is gay based on a romantic movie.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
