I'm totally proud of this thread, yup! Best thread I ever made!

The discussion is about changing the description and talking about AC0, obviously.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Kojima says lots of bullshit nonsense. He's almost as bad as Kutaragi as far as BS goes.

The box art for ICO is horrible. The game rules. The same can be said for We <3 Katamari, Dark CLoud, or pretty much any shmup outside of Gradius V. Sure, decent box art is nice, but it's not really the focus here. The box art could have goatse on the cover and I'd still buy it.

The North American version is what I was talking about.

I don't recall any shmups having bad box art, I'm sure if you posted some that would help greatly.

And so forth and so on.

Anyway, yeah, box art doesn't matter. Who the fuck cares what's on the front, Jesus.

And Metal SPhere, maybe the attack plan involves lots of variable altitude stuff. Go high or low depending on what the thing's trying to hit you with, perhaps?

It's a shame the demo has to be bought with such a shitty magazine, and the rest of the disc contains nothing but flaming crap. I think there is Black, the new Driver, and a few other worthless demos on there. And God, don't even get me started on how horrible the magazine is.

I'll go to the 7-11 across the street and see if I can steal the disc, or something.

Online co-op would be rad to the max, actually.

Hopefully the whole custom paint job and squadron thing would be a reality too. That'd be TOO fun. Awesome Squadron tearing it up, eh Tails?

As far as the soundtrack is concerned, I can't get enough of The Stage of Apocalyspe. I could rock out to this all day.

I'm sorry to derail this conversation a tad bit, for I need to request something, and I hope some of you guys might be able to help me.

Do any of you have the *all* squadron logos from AC0 in a decent resolution? I'm having a hard time finding INDIGO, WIZARD, ROT, SORCEROR, and others in a decent size (if at all). The only big ones that are easy to find are GELB, GALM, SILBER and so on.

Any help with this owuld be great, thanks. <3

Much thanks. That solves about half of the logos in good quality. The real trick now would be the WIZARD and SORCEROR ones.

Thanks again though, much appreciated.

He was joking. Don't play the game if you don't have at least 10 minutes to devote to a mission. If you lose and lose 15 minutes of progress, boo-fucking-who.

Dieing in games sets you back. You have to play well to progress. This is not a hard concept to understand.

The first two were great games, but very frustrating when you had to replay parts over and over if you were killed. SC3 eliminated this by giving us a quick save option.
It's called challenge, buddy. Half the drive to do well comes from knowing that there is no easy reload button for the mission. Don't fuck up. Get better if you lose. Gamers these days are huge panty-waste wussies. Geezus.

If your definition of fun is a game you always win, play Go Fish with yourself.

Well, since you technically ordered it before it started shipping, I'd imagine that you will get a first printing. And considering FF12's OST comes out the same day, I doubt AC0 will get enough orders that you'd have to worry about it for quite some time, I bet.

The problem is how slow free shipping is. I dunno if it's that big a problem in the US but up her ein Canackland it can be a complete and utter bitch. Sometimes taking 2 or more weeks.

EMS all the way.

Some people are ignorant and can't tell the difference, lith. ;_____; But #gamemp3s does some of the best quality MP3s possible. So you can't diss them for that.

Speaking of quality though, would you rip and distribute a lossless version?

Besides, Tails's rip is in FLAC, which is an infinitely superior format to APE. To use Monkey's Audio in this day and age is nothing short of stupidity.

Ok then.

So what do you guys think about this rumour?

This is a cell phone cam pic of the blockbuster database. Could be bogus, could be real. Could be BB just being dumb again.

But it's got a subtitle, which is weird since that seems like something you wouldn't just make up to fill in a database entry.

But for the 360? Is Namco letting AC switch sides or go multiplatform? What could this mean for the multiplayer capabilities, and so forth?

Needless to say, I'm excited.

You're in the wrong thread, I think. This is not about Armored Core, but about Ace Combat. In addition, Armoured Core 4 is running off of a modified version of the Chromehounds engine, which was then ported to the PS3. The PS3 verison of Armoured Core 4 suffers from a fair bit of slowdown, where the 360 does not. There are many instances of AC4 looking better on the 360 as well. The screenshot below should show this. I am unsure of why From Software couldn't optimize it, but that's a discussion for another thread.

As for Ace Combat 6, I'm sure the online functionality would remain largely the same, regardless of network. I am hoping for co-op and versus modes though.

What does a system comparison or the price of Live have to do with this, though?

I was speaking idiomatically.

Lix: Being, you know, an AC thread, I kinda didn't bring up Katamari and Warhammer. This isn't in the MW yet.

That said, I am jealous that this news dropped when I was sleeping. Remind me never to sleep again. And Rock is right, AC has never used real world symbols before. Could just be placeholder textures or something for the time being. (also much more elaborate real life aerial photography exists. You'd be surprised at what's out there.)

Also gonna ask Infernal to move this to GVG.

edit:

Where did you see that?
He's talking about Armored Core 4, and he's very, very correct. No VC support for the thing. Off topic though, again.
