I use a CD recorder to do live recordings of my priest's sermons every sunday. It records the signal directly from the mixing console's REC OUT port. (RCA composite cables.) It is MUCH better than recording to the minidisc player, because there is significantly less hiss, and I can simply rip the CD to a WAV file for post-production, instead of having to record from the minidisc player.
I don't know the model number, but I know that the company is Marantz. I could take a picture of it for you when I'm there tomorrow, as I have to run the mixing console for a conference my church is having. Edit: AH! Here it is: ![]() http://www.marantz.com/new/index.cfm...f&prod_id=2501 This is the one we use, and it works very well. Tell me, VG, do you work for a church? If so, I'd like to talk to you. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Oh well.
At any rate, the CD recorder I listed should work fine just the same. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I wish I could do with with our sermons, but with all of the coughing and stuttering, it really isn't fesible. I swear, people must cough more during the 25 or so minutes of the sermon than they do during the entirety of the year. It's like yawning; one person coughs, then another, then another, and soon everybody feels compelled to do it, and when they cough at the same time the priest is speaking, I can't edit it out.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
