Hey Pang, can Glenn try to converse with BM without using an action or do i need to wait until my turn rolls around?

Just so everyone knows, i'm probably going to be away from internet access for a while next week. I just got told that i'm going camping with my family and going to my grandparents' during the coming week instead of napping at home, so yeah. I'll be away Sunday and Monday camping (no internet, obviously) and Friday through the next Sunday at my grandparents' (Grandpa thinks computers are evil, so.)

I hereby give Skills control of Glenn if my turn happens to come up during these days. Here's hoping i don't regret it.

I'm back from the hospital and not going camping any more. So until next weekend, i'm back.

Pang, did Glenn pick up the rest of the stuff before leaving? I said he did, but neglected to do anything to point it out.

no pneumonia, but we didn't get to see what was in store for us via the dioramas because of you.

Was my guess right, Pang? if so, can you post the descriptions of the rest of the dioramas? I'm curious as to how you messed with the rest of the adventures.

Dang. Glenn hasn't had a decent initiative roll once since he joined the group.

Pang, what are the rules regarding doing things in the water? Can Glenn do anything he could normally do, with the exceptions of the slowed movement and having to roll to not drown?

True, however the current party has no healers (unless Puyet can heal people, i don't know). We've still got our work cut out for us if we want to make it through this alive.

Given the large base of interest, could we not try having two groups from the guild running around doing things? I've been interested in trying my hand at DMing for a while now, and if we've got 20 or so people willing to play, then running two separate adventures using characters from the guild doesn't seem quite as silly. It might make some strange and inexplicable things happen (ex. having a nap and leveling up thanks to the XP from the other group) but i don't know how confusing things might get. Just a suggestion.

Just to be clear, if Hawk decides he'd rather not ride my coattails (so to speak) and just does his own thing I completely support that as well, whatever gets more people rollin' and less people trollin'
Are you kidding? For the first while i won't be so much riding your coattails as hanging on in desperation while being dragged through the dirt. Dirt with large rocks scattered all over the place. I'm hardly confident enough to try running a game, let alone one without the help of a more experienced DM.

On another note, this conversation is making me because of the implication of my character's imminent death which i'd rather not think about right now.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Not accounting for the other guy stealing all of our weapons, of course.

I keep forgetting we still have Cal around somewhere. Though if he stays in that form Glenn might accidentally start attacking him too...

edit: Pang, what do i need to look at for purposes of trying to start up another parallel game? I've got maptools downloaded and sort of figured out, but i lack the income to purchase books / d&di subscriptions.

Agh, torrents. I'll have to wait until i go home in a few weeks.

Also, even if there is a gold ring around your character, Glenn didn't see Cal shift - as far as Glenn knows, Cal is swimming with the fishes. As things stand right now, if GFZ were to for some inexplicable reason finish the battle, Glenn would logically move right on to attacking the Calfish. Just saying - if you don't want to get killed by your teammates, don't turn into an enemy or we may be forced to slaughter you strictly for RP reasons.

Finished adding Glenn to Obsidian Portal, there's a few holes where i don't remember the math and don't feel like digging out the portable hard drive with all the rulebooks on it. Practically wrote a novel on his background.

That said, looking to the future, as i think the current adventure is just about over, i've looked over some stuff and i think i could feasibly run a game sometime in the near future. Do we still have a sufficient interest level to warrant two simultaneous games, or should i hold off on doing things like setting up maps until we're sure we need them?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Alright, the thread is set up. Everyone here needs to post, i'm not making any assumptions as to who's following D&D.

EDIT: all current Characters are put together, at least mostly, on obsidian portal. I didn't do Cal's inventory, because that would take all night.

I was using the reason that you might not want rules questions and discussion about two separate games in the same thread, but i suppose that's not really too much of an issue. I'll see about moving it over if you'd rather have some activity in here.

To be fair, it's a lot faster to just roll dice, move, roll dice, move, than it is to roll dice, wait a couple of days for your turn to come again, roll dice...

you could always have just deleted yours. My way meant you guys weren't rolling dice for you life next turn. Plus i'm not worried about GFZ - he's got Swiftcurrent to move him, and depending on how nice Pang feels his boots should make this encounter a cakewalk.

Wheeee, leveling! We should do this more often.

Glenn boosted Dexterity and Strength, reaching the next threshold for ability modifiers for both. Took Winterkin Heritage as a feat - gives 5 + half level cold resistance and a new encounter power for getting out of trouble. Just in case Glenn wasn't good enough at that already. Also retrained Snap Shot away for Cloud of Steel.

I already changed everything on the OP character sheet, just need to fix the powers page, but that'll happen sooner or later.

I could probably take over, since playing takes a lot less time than running a game. (seriously guys, it isn't possible to give Pang enough props for doing this, it takes about half an hour for me to put together a GM post, and Pang's always quick with his posts. He puts a lot of work into doing this. Find a random post of his and prop it. Do it now.)

Unless Skills wants to do it, in which case he can feel free.

We can always just split it. whoever does it first does it. I'll check whether you're online before posting so we don't end up both playing at the same time.
