It could very well be that the monitor is in it's dying phases, then.
Then again, it could simply be that a driver got fucked someplace; try uninstalling your video card drivers and--if you don't mind doing it--use DriverCleaner to remove the remnants of the driver (follow the directions included with DriverCleaner, blah, blah) and install a new version or reinstall whatever version of the driver that you currently have. Also, just to be sure, degauss the monitor and check to see that the VGA cable is fully plugged in. (I really think that this is a case of progession towards death, though. Of course, it is only on that one refresh rate and above.) Jam it back in, in the dark. |
