duminas is on the right track i believe. either your power supply is unstable, or your cpu / video card / motherboard chipset is overheating. check the contact of your heatsinks on your cpu and video card. check that there is thermal paste there and that it hasn't migrated. i once had a geforce4 ti 4200 whose thermal paste migrated to the edges of the chip-- it was a very annoying thing, as it would freeze the entire pc due to its overheating.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
