GameStop employees are idiots.

At least the ones who work in Vacaville. Ok, so my friend was working until 10PM the other night. He begged me to pick up his copy of the new Super Mario Bros. game for the DS since GameStop would be closed by the time he got off. So I agreed to help him out and drove with another friend to GameStop.

After asking for the game and telling them the name of my friend we waited about 5 minutes for them to find our reservation slip. After he scanned the game into the computer with the store credit he started being your typical annoying GameStop employee and tried to pressure me into buying multiple things.

Employee: Would you also like to purchase the guide for 20% off with the game?
Me: No.
Employee: Why not? You only get the discount when you pick up the game.
Me: Uh.. I know. And I said no.
Employee: Are you sure you don't want it?
Me: I don't want it.
Employee: You're goign to regret it later man. C'mon, it's 20% off.
Me: No thanks.
Employee: Ok, you're missing out on a great deal when you come back tomorrow to pay full price for it.
Me: ...

Then I slid my debit card and started putting in my pin number. He attempted to advertise a DS-lite to me.

Employee: Hey, have you pre-ordered the new DS-lite yet?
Me: No
Employee: What? You haven't? It's the hottest thing right now. It...
Me: I know what it does.
Employee: Why don't you pre-order one then? You should.
Me: I don't see the need to spend another 100 bucks on one when I already have a perfectly working DS.
Employee: Well, a second one wouldn't hurt and its going to be nice.

At this point the transaction was completed. He handed me the game and then started advertising a used DVD sale. My phone rang as he was telling me and my friend about the deal. I turn away while he was speaking and answered my phone. At this point I think the guy was very frustrated with me. I then started telling my friend about how annoying the gamestop employees are as I walked out of the store without letting him finish about the DVD deal.

These guys are as bad as fucking cars salesmen.

Final Fantasy fanboy attacks Nintendo forum

Take a look

We are used to seeing these folks plague our RPG forum with nothing but Final Fantasy and Square Enix filth. If the publisher isn't Square-Enix, the thread will fall off the front page as these fanboys continue to discuss 2 screenshots of the next 20 Final Fantasy games announced. Luckily Suikoden, Elder Scrolls and the Persona 3 thread have managed to stay on page 1. Anyway, I find it funny that now one of these fanboys has somehow managed to infect the new Smash Bros. thread with Final Fantasy bullshit, which slightly changed the topic to him really believing in his Final Fantasy connection until Acer was kind enough to clear it up and tell the fanboy to get real. Seriously though, how the fuck can you not know about Kirby's ability to cook and serve enemies? It was around before Final Stupidity 9 even existed.

I don't really have an excuse not to. I live about 25 minutes away from them after all. It could prove to be an interesting meet. I bet Devo would love to post a journal entry in my name like saka did too~

Wisdom teeth >_<

worried

I've been ignoring them for the longest time. Of course I knew the bottom two were impacted but the dentist said I didn't have to get them pulled right yet. Well, today I've been having these horrible pains towards the side of my mouth with the impacted wisdom tooth that can't grow out whenever I move my jaw. I guess it finally grew big enough to cause problems. This sucks since the other 3 have grown out now and cause no problems. While the 3 can easily be pulled by numbing and pulling, this last one is actually going to require oral surgery for extraction.

Now there are two problems I have with this. The first is I don't have dental coverage. I do, however, get insane discounts at my current dentist office. The only problem is he isn't qualified to pull the wisdom tooth that forever idles beneath my gums. So when I do go someplace else it'll probably cost an assload of money. I can either pay the fee or wait until I can find a job that pays for this sort of thing. Of course waiting means I have to deal with this soreness much longer. >_<

The second problem is that I hate surgery. I cannot stand getting hooked up to an IV and getting knocked out by drugs. It's one of the only things I'm afraid of in this world. I cannot stand being put to sleep. Can one stay awake through a procedure like this, or is it too much for anyone to handle? If I was numbed up very well and put on some laughing gas I wouldn't care what they did to me. As long as I'm not hooked up to an IV and knocked out I think I could do it. Has anyone else stayed awake during this sort of thing? How was it? =(

Also, was I a bit mean to SOLDIER? Yes, I created that thread with him in mind but he isn't the only Final Fantasy fanboy either. It's ok if he likes Final Fantasy 7. I just hope he learns to show it less often. Needs less super long ass posts speculating the most retarded crap in the Final Fantasy 7 universe. Another part that gets me angry is when the RPG forum is flooded with Final Fantasy topics. There are other good RPGs to play besides them. Hmm... I should send SOLDIER a non Final Fantasy/Xenosaga RPG like Atelier Iris and see how he likes it. :3

I got owned by the stomach flu

Yeah, it sucks spending so much time in bed. I should be ready to go back to work tomorrow though.

During my sick time I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 2. First of all, any of those Japanophiles complaining that the voices aren't in Japanese can choke and die on a popsicle stick. Pretty much all the worlds and settings are based off disney movies and shows that came out here, and I'd much rather listen to a voice that matches the one from the movie than a bunch of words from a language I can't understand all that well. And besides, the voicework is fantastic in this game.

At first I was a bit scared about the censorship bits I heard about, but after playing through more than half the game already I'm happy to say most were only slightly edited. The pirates have crossbows now, sure, but in the cutscenes the guns are still there. I think they just wanted to avoid having Sora, Donalds, and Goofy being shot at. The hydra blood is still there too, but only when Hercules fights it. So is the blood in a few scenes of the pirate world.

The only thing that bugs me about the game are the Final Fantasy characters. The Disney characters are lovable and have the same personality they had from their movie. And then we've got these Final Fantasy characters saying utterly retarded lines like "I'll own you lamers!". It's fairly obvious these characters were added into the game so Final Fantasy fanboys like SOLDIER could buy the game just to see Yuna and FAP FAP FAP to Seifer when he owns the lamers! =D Though it was kinda cool seeing Setzer in this one. It's about time they included a character from a classic SNES Final Fantasy. A lot of Final Fantasy 6 characters are more memorable than the unforgettable casts in the newer games. I'm getting very tired of hearing Sephiroth and Cloud now, or Yuna or anyone else from Final Fantasy 7/10-fivebillion. There are other characters in the Square Enix world besides them you know... ;___;
