Thumbs down Stupid t-shirts

Today I saw some girl wearing a t-shirt which said "I love shopping" and I was like "uhh okay...". While I was walking down the schtreet, I decided to take a closer look at peoples' t-shirts and I noticed that some of them were extremely retarded. I mean, maybe it's trendy to wear absolutely retarded t-shirts this summer, but whatever. Okay so here's what I wanna do in this thread, I want to collect some very stupid, retarded, gonkshirts. Just tell us what you've experienced and whether you've seen awesome t-shirts as well.

Seriously, if I ever see something wearing this t-shirt, I will kick him in the face.

This t-shirt had the tagline "cool shyrt"...

Why do people wear something like that (?)

I am looking forward to your stories (and images of course )

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I always thought FCUK was retarded.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I haven't seen any really suggestive phrases on shirts for a long time now since most people I interact with tend to dress conservatively for the most part. A few years ago, one that surprised me was a shirt that said "Open 24 hours a day." I was walking out the store and I heard a teenage girl arguing with her mother about why she wanted it.

How ya doing, buddy?

Yeah it does my head in to read about some 15 year old girl to wear a t-shirt with something like, "STILL A VIRGIN".

I was speaking idiomatically.

Ah, but FCUK stands for French Connection UK. It's one of those upmarket clothing places like United Colors of Benetton. They thought it was clever to have their acronym that happens to look like 'FUCK' plastered all over shirts.

Apparently it caused some controversy (like shirts that say FCUK ME or FCUK FOOTBALL), and they're phasing out the acronym.

I actually think FCUK's designs are kind of trendy and neat, but pricey for my purse.

I think this is a good anti "I'm with stupid" shirt:

While this falls in the same line (was reminded by Conan O'Brien)...

Yeah, same here, until I figured out it's actually a brand name. Oh well. I have seen a lot of SOTP (instead of STOP) t-shirts, though.

I've seen teachers wear shirts with the picture of a goat on it and the text "g..tf.ck.r". I don't know what's so funny about that, but whatever.

Does it actually have those periods?

Actually, that would make an amusing license plate.

I find these kind of shirts fcuking ridiculous. Some of them are funny when they're not sexual innuendoes.

Hey, T-shirts are meant to carry stupid messages.

These days, I prefer plain boring old polo shirts...

This is the only message T-shirt I still have:

I don't know about you guys but I personally think any shirt that has anything written on it to be read is pretty stupid (unless its a name on the back of a jersey). My cousin does have this shirt though; it has a an arrow pointing up and says, "The Man" and then an arrow pointing down and says, "The Legend". That was an interesting shirt . . .

I'm with PKO. The only shirts I have with writing on them are club shirts, and both are fairly un-obnoxious, with the writing across the sleeve. (Society of women engineers, and the college English club, as if anyone cares. )

Oh, and my work uniform, which has a faux-graffitti back with "groundz crew". I love my job.

I have a lot of Music related tshirts, the Beatles and Marley and such.

I didn't really think to much of it at the time, but it really is kind of odd/stupid for someone to wear a t shirt with someone else's face / picture on it.

not that I'm gonna stop wearing my Let It Be shirt though...

I'm fond of shirts with interesting writing or pictures on them. A lot of mine come from Living Planet, a local store that tends to have really awesome shirts. (Their site only shows a tiny fraction of the shirts they sell, unfortunately, and mostly the Newfoundland-centric designs.) Heck, I'm wearing my "I ♣ Baby Seals" shirt right now.

There's plenty of text/slogan shirts out there that make me roll my eyes, though. Mostly the ones that teenage girls tend to wear with thinly veiled catch phrases essentally declaring "I'm a spoiled, shallow whore!"

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I happen to like shirts with funny sayings on them. I mean I have a bunch of them. The ones however I find stupid are all those 'More cowbell', 'Vote for Pedro', and 'I'm with ___' shirts. You see those everywhere and they tend to get annoying after awhile.

www.threadless.com has some pretty nifty tee's, some not so great - depends on your tastes.
www.djtees.com more music related but simple, good stuff.
