Finally buying that aforementioned laptop
After doing quite a bit of searching, I realized I wanted the Toshiba Satellite A105. After customizing the A100 on its website and balking at its exorbitant price, I asked a friend who told me that Circuit City has them for incredible prices... which is very true. I came across this.
http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/...cation.do#tabs It's kind of more than I need, but for that price I'm buying it regardless. It has double the RAM I require, and the processor speed is like 200 mhz more than I need, which is great. I love the HDD size and everything about it, including the internal Harmon/Kardon speakers. One thing. Does it have bluetooth? I really want bluetooth on my laptop. I'm starting to use it in a variety of circumstances, mainly with my phone, and I don't want to hog all of the 4 USB ports with stuff that I can simply bluetooth. Plus, I'm going to be in a mobile environment and I'd just love to see my computer show up on bluetooth mini-servers and all. I can't find anything about bluetooth under its specifications, I'm not exactly sure what to look for. But regardless of that, is this, holistically, a good deal? I've posted about my laptop quest a few months ago, and it's finally about time that I follow through with the purchase... or, narrowing down of a purchase. Help me out, gamingforce forums! Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Since it doesn't mention that it has bluetooth, assume it doesn't. There are usb bluetooth adaptors around, so you needn't worry about getting another model.
The graphics card isn't going to be good for gaming, but other than that, it looks fine. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Yeah, I'll most likely get a bluetooth USB.
And I don't play much games... if I needed to, I'll come home and play it on my 9800 w/21" CRT, word up! This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
