[PC] New Game: The Legend Of Vraz

My name is Ayush and I am from Zatun, a video game development company in India.

We have developed a 2D action adventure arcade game for PC titled – “ The Legend of Vraz “.This game was created using the Microsoft XNA framework and features an enthralling gameplay of 6-8 hours set in exotic locales.

Game Features:

• A fun, fascinating and a forgiving gameplay encouraging the player while testing the player’s skills providing for a unique player experience.
  
• An incredible soundtrack immersing the player completely in the game.
  
• Stylized and appealing characters and 14 different enemies each with their distinct personality and AI (Artificial – Intelligence).
  
• Exquisite hand painted stunning 2D Art assets and backgrounds in Indian Miniature Painting style.
  
• 15 stages with 4 distinct locations and each location providing a feeling of fantasy of being in an exotic land.
  
• 5 different upgradable arrows and the ability to control the prince both with mouse and keyboard or mouse only or keyboard only depending upon the user preferences.

Game Premise:

The prince “Vraz” is on an epic quest to win princess Avi’s hand in marriage by achieving 5 tasks set by Avi’s father while battling with the Evil Vizier and his shrewd accomplices and navigating through camouflaged traps in exotic fantasy locales.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The amount of effort that seemed to have gone into this says it's probably commercial. Although they probably have to release some kind of demo.

For a game that seems to be established in India, I find it intriguing that they will be using arabic influences (Viziers)...

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Animation and movement in general sure could use more frames and detail (unless the video footage is extremely WIP).

Intriguing setting and platformers are always welcome in this day and age.

lol was this game ported to XNA from Click 'n' Play? That jumping animation. Ahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

All it needs is the character glitch hopping up walls and its the complete shoddy package. =')

No seriously, my buddy and I made this crap hole of a game back in 2001 using The Games Factory. It was called Doughboy. It had the whole make your character aim with the mouse thing back then too and as shitty as it was the exploding grenade launcher looks a whole lot better in action then your shit does. Except we knew we were making a stupid game for kicks. It had the Pillsbury Doughboy lobbing grenades at spinning blades with eyes while climbing sideways ladders over spinning blades with eyes that would dice him up into bloody pieces. All set to the best 1997's free midi could offer. God it's awful. But we love it because it's awful.

Oh wait here's the fucking game. Warning: due to the shoddy programming of The Games Factory this game may cause your computer to explode (mine did - it was rad ) so run at your own risk. I'd recommend not doing any other activity while running it because apparently memory juggling just throws it into computer murderrape mode.

directional keys for movement (yeah we didn't care about wasd back then)
Shift for jumping (also jumping/standing on top of ladders)
Mouse for aiming and mouse click for grenades

That's not entirely unusual. There's a lot of Persian and Islamic influence in the Indian subcontinent, and you have to remember that India and Pakistan were considered one "region" until their split after Indian independence. Not to mention most of the subcontinent was ruled by the Mughal Empire for a few centuries before the British moved in, which was Muslim and undoubtedly had viziers.

We have incorporated your feedback and have added physics to the prince jump and created a new prince jump animation, improvised the camera movement and the art for level 4. The AI is now more polished and there are hardly any “idle” moments in the game. Regarding the Audio, we have new background music for level 2 and added new effects while removing redundant ones.
