NDS Stuck L button

So basically my NDS' L button would get stuck at times. If I am running, say Zelda: PH, it would "lock" the selected item.

I have bene able to loosen it up at times by pushing on it really hard, or so forth, but nothing has been permanent.

Any advice on how to fix this issue? Note that 1.) I bought this in China (no warranty) and 2.) it's three years old (so the warranty would have long since expired).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I've had similar problems with various controllers for consoles (my friends aren't as kind to my controllers when they play as I am) and I can usually fix it by taking the controller apart and reseating all of the sensors.

One time a friend actually broke a piece of plastic inside one of my PS2 controllers and it got wedged in the L2 button so it wasn't able to be used. It was a pretty quick fix, but the button hasn't been the same since.

How ya doing, buddy?

I guess you need to get a new one, or let someone who knows how to dismantle a DS take a look at it. Speaking of broken controllers, I'm going to get my 4th PS2 controller next payday. This time, my X button won't function anymore.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

See, I was thinking of opening it up myself. It's like the "spring" inside is stuck. If I were to take, say a very thin piece of metal, and pry a bit at it, that fixes things...for a little while.

I actually have a second one, but that one isn't...special. As in, it can't play say....Soma Bringer. I'm not in China anymore so I don't have access to buy a secnod one that is special. However, things have changed so much that I wonder if I even need to flash a new NDS anymore...

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
