2 Operating Systems (no internet connection)
Ok so XP Professional shit the bed somehow. I get to the startup screen where you user login. Hit a user, it says loading personal settings, I see my wallpaper thats it and it instantly boots me off, saves my settings and logs me off.
So I couldnt figure out the problem, so I just installed another OS -Win XP Home in a different windows directory and got to all the files I wanted. Now I just have to choose XPProf or XP home on startup. Everything seems fine here inXPHOME, everything except a network connectiion. My computer doesnt even seem to recognize that I have an ethernet cable plugged in. I go to network connection and it doesnt detect anything. Try to create a new connection with the connection plugged into the back of the computer and it does nothing. If I go to Control panel - internet options - new connection. It will say 'cannot connect to interface - error 1717'.
Also could it be that the damaged winxp professional OS is interacting somehow and fucking up the connection?
And is there a way of transferring say MS OFFICE products from XP Prof to Home without the licenses getting fucked up and them asking me to reinstall it. Since I dont know where the OFFICE cd is.
Maybe I am missing something easy, but then again I know shit about this kind of thing.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
