Breast Cancer Show Ever!
I just got done watching the newest installment to the 12th season of South Park. I've enjoyed the show since its first season; there have been very few episodes I didn't like.
Breast Cancer Show Ever! is probably the worst one I've seen. The writing was horrible, the plot was boring, the ending was anticlimactic, and Cartman is now the sole main character rather than it being about the four boys... which I was okay with until the writing started going down hill (purely an opinion). Is someone else writing the South Park script now? It really makes me wonder because whatever Matt & Trey put out... although it is mostly "toilet humor", it has always been quality (again, my opinion). Did everyone else think this was bad, or am I the only one? Jam it back in, in the dark.

South Park has always been hit or miss for me, especially in recent seasons. There are usually a couple of really great shows, a couple of average, and a couple that are flat out terrible. Like last season, the one with Stan's father trying to set the world's record was abysmal, but the one where the German terrorists take over the adventure park was excellent.
Last week's episode was mostly a miss; the bits with Cartman and Butters (who seems to be getting more screen time, a good thing) were funny, but the "raping Indiana Jones" premise was driven into the ground. One rape scene would have been plenty to get their point across, but instead they made that concept the focus of the episode. I didn't think last night's show was bad at all. It wasn't the best episode ever, but I like an episode that doesn't go out of its way to make some sort of political statement. Most amazing jew boots |
By that premise alone, the episode should have been wonderful, and indeed I laughed out loud at a few of the punchlines (sic.). Certainly among the best this season, but something has been amiss this season. I remember season 11 being somewhat of a feat with many great episodes, but not much is happening this year. Where have all the good west-born cartoons gone. =( Blame Fox for cancelling the only good cartoon. Most amazing jew boots |
Though it wasn't the greatest episode by any means, I thought the episode was more homage based than anything, I really missed the "lesson" that was is usually given at the end of each episode, in all it looked like more of a rush job (than it usually is since each episode is produced in under a week).

I remember hearing somewhere that Matt Stone and Trey Parker's favorite episodes were the ones where the kids were just being kids, and this one fit that bill pretty good. I really enjoyed this episode, definitely way more than last week's, and probably more than most of the other ones from this season so far.

personally I liked it only because of how Rockgamer mentioned it, "kids just being kids".
Not the greatest episode by any means but seeing cartman finally getting his ass handed to him was worth watching through to the end. Was this episode suppose to be a parody of anything though? I remember a movie that was similar to this in which some kids try to get out of fighting the school bully, but I guess this describes countless of teen movies. Personally my favorite episode was "the losing edge" since it didn't succumb to fart humor. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() New Record! |

I enjoyed this episode a lot more than last week's. The rape jokes from that one were funny the first couple of times, but by the third rape scene, it got pretty stale. The Deliverance references were amusing, though. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
I really enjoyed the episode. Better than last week's. As some of you mentioned the Rape thing went too far on it. Haven't seen most of the episodes from Seasons 1-8 (Haven't had the chance to buy them yet) but from what I've seen worst episode was so far was the Brittney Spears one. God that was horrible episode.

I, like many breast cancer victims, have something that I would like to get off my chest.
WHAT DID THE BREAST CANCER SAY TO THE POLISH MONKEY? (Cartman eating and then vomiting up his underwear is hilarious, and fuck you haters who don't think so) There's nowhere I can't reach. It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.
Touching butts had been banned by the evil Headmaster Frond. Suddenly, Tina Belcher appeared in the doorway. She knew what she had to do. She touched Jimmy Jr's butt and changed the world. |
