Gamingforce Soundtrack III - RPG Forum Edition

Well, it's that time of the year again, and although it didn't look like our forum would be included, Cap showed his good will and we're good to go. If you don't know what this is about, check this thread.

Some general pointers
  • Limit yourself to 3 nominations (you may edit them, but don't nominate more)
  • Avoid tracks that were on the last ost. If you hesitate, check out the list in the spoiler box
  • Don't nominate too many FF songs, since everyone heard them already, and most of them were in the previous edition. You can nominate FF:AC songs, but don't go overboard.
  • The OST will be limited to 20 tracks (ONE DISC ONLY), so there will most likely be a voting thread if there are too many nominations.
  • Be sure to check if you own the tracks you nominate, since the coordinators don't always own them, and I personally don't want to go looking all over for them.

Start nominating!

I'll nominate some newer music. These are not necessarily my favorite tracks from their respective albums, but they're good listening.

1. Genso Suikoden V Original Sound Track - Disc 1 - Track 7 - Recollection
2. DIGITAL DEVIL SAGA ~Avatar Tuner~ 1 & 2 Original Sound Track Integral - Disc 4 - Track 6 - Battle for Survival
3. Rogue Galaxy Original Sound Track - Disc 2 - Track - 18 - The Mystery Forest

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Are we still trying to get tracks that fit the RPG forum, or have we stopped kidding ourselves and accepted that it's pretty much impossible to argue for or against lyric-less music?

1. Genso Suikoden V Original Soundtrack - Disc 2 - Track 3 - Enter the Dahak
2. Genso Suikoden V Original Soundtrack - Disc 3 - Track 15 - Island Nations Admiral

Most amazing jew boots

Stephen Lynch's D&D -- this is the intro track. Notice how I say ''is'', not ''should be''. That's because it's pretty much already decided and not really debatable.

Brain Train from Anachronox. Just a PC game track, to counter all the fags who haven't ever played a non-Japanese RPG.

A couple of my favourite RPG tunes from last year, plus one obligatory nod to BOF4:

Breath of Fire IV Original Soundtrack - CD 1, track 1 - "Breath Of Fire IV ~Opening Animation~"

Shadow Hearts: From the New World Original Soundtrack - CD 1, Track 18 - "Light Crossing Boder"

Musashiden II: Blademaster Original Sound Track - CD 2, Track 21 - "Holy War"

I'm still toying with the idea of replacing "Holy War" with "Jungle Journey" from the same soundtrack but it's the former for now.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
I think therefore I am... I think.

Suikoden Tactics/Rhapsodia: Pride of the Blood Relatives

Suikoden V: Move Out!

Star Ocean: The Second Story: Stab the Sword of Justice

Just noticed that they're all battle songs, more or less. Tells something about my taste of music, eh?

I was speaking idiomatically.

Elder Scrolls was originally a PC exclusive, and has, according to you people, a bigger fanbase. BZ may argue otherwise but that's for another day. Lately, however, Elder Scrolls has come into the console world much more, and holds equal releases on the consoles, namely the 360. This would place it in the General Game Music album. And then there is the matter of it being an RPG, which would place it in the RPG album.

Just a word of warning: this is my final decision on this. There is to be no arguing, for nothing will change my mind. The RPG album has been fucking up things more than it's been helping. This was my fear at the beginning, and I don't know why I brought it back. There is nothing, nothing that can be put on the RPG album that couldn't be put somewhere else. For that reason, the RPG album is now being done away with.

As for the Elder Scrolls music, the music from Oblivion should be put in the General Game Music album, because of the simultaneous release. They show no bias towards any system now, though because they did prior to this game, all Elder Scrolls 1-3 music should be put in the PC Gaming album.

Sorry for the inconvenience to everyone.
Sorry guys. My fault for opening this in the first place. Please re-request your music you nominated here wherever else they would have belonged. Any questions, comments, or problems can be PMed directly to me.
