How much shit do you put on your body?

No, there aren't any pictures or videos of some weird Japanese fetish of smearing shit all over your body, but I mean this in a figurative sense. You can't walk through a Walgreens or whatever without seeing tons and tons of beauty care products from chapstick to dick lube. And have you read some of the ingredients on their labels? Hell, I don't even know how to pronounce some of that shit, let alone know why they put it in or what purpose it serves. And then some stuff is made out of weird animal parts, like sheep's eye or cow's testes, who knows, right? It's like fear factor researching all those ingredients.

Anyway, lately I've been trying to grow my hair out longer, and I noticed that some of the shampoos I use make my hair dry and frizzy, so someone suggested I don't use shampoo so much and just use conditioner more often. It turns out you can get away with not using shampoo if your hair doesn't get too dirty and oily, and it's supposed to be much healthier for your hair since it doesn't strip out necessary oils or something like that.

So what kind of stuff do you put on your body? Being winter time now, my skin is more prone to drying and cracking all over the damn place, especially on my hands, so I've been using some lotion to put on my dry and ashy arms, but I really hate putting on lotion, because it's so greasy and crap. I wish there was some kind of moisturizer out there that was really light and undetectable.

Other than that, I use chapstick for dry, chapped lips, and that's about it. Along with growing out my hair, I hate the feel of product in my hair making it stiff or sticky, so I'll go au natural and not use anymore gels, waxes, or pomades. And then other stuff that I put on that doesn't last the whole day would be like soap, shampoo, conditioner and a face cleanser. If I could get away without using anything at all on my body then I would, but I must be victim of cosmetics companies or something. At least I don't underline my eyes with dark eyeliners and look like an emo bitch or something. Oh and a face moisturizer, because most cleansers dry the shit out of my face, I guess throw in shaving creme too.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well... deodorant of course. Chapstick only when I need it, same with face lotion. Other than that... I can't think of anything else.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Deodorant, and hair wax occasionally.

It's interesting that you bring up the point about shampoos taking necessary oil off your hair. My hair starts to stink if I don't shampoo, but I realized that if I shampoo, dandruff comes back after 2 days, but if I don't shampoo for more than a week, my hair won't flake.

My skin's kinda sensitive. The last time I used a chapstick I had an allergic reaction to it. For my face I have a vitamin E moisturiser (which contains avocado or something). For my hands I have a fragrance-free Neutrogena moisturiser. I previously used a hemp-based moisturiser for both, which worked really well, but was extremely expensive.
I use a mild roll-on deodorant most days. I only use aerosol deodorants occasionally.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Just deodorant, and some perfume when going to parties (which I do once or twice a year).

I'm not a fan of putting chemicals on your body.

Well...I'm a girl. XD Not that that's supposed to be an excuse for anything, but girls do tend to use things like make-up more.

So my list basically includes:
- tooth paste
- mouth wash
- deodorant
- perfume (moderately applied, I hate it when people use too much)
- shampoo
- conditioner
- hair spray (not every day)
- shower gel
- sometimes body lotion (mainly in the winter)
- facial washing gel (need to use it so my skin gets and stays clear)
- facial toner
- chapstick
- sometimes lip gloss/lip stick
- mascara
- eye shadow only for special occasions, but mainly eye liner rather than eye shadow
- cover up stick, if I can be bothered
- powder, if I can be bothered
- sometimes nail polish

Come to think of it, that list is quite long... o_O

Do you still wash your hair regularly? I still wash my hair everyday, once in the morning, and once after I get home from the gym, but I just use a lot of conditioner instead of shampoo, and my hair is clean and smells good, so I'm not sure why you would have stinky hair. I don't know what you can do about the dandruff though, maybe some scalp oil to keep it from getting dry and crackly, since I'm guessing the shampoo is overdrying your scalp?

Other than the necessities (shampoo, deodorant, conditioner, toothpaste) I don't really put anything else on. Maybe some after-shave or cream to save some of the razor irritation I so despise, but I'm pretty minimal.

Weird, me and Skills were discussing what products we have in our bathrooms just yesterday. For me, other than the normal soap, shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste, I use mouthwash, occasionally body spray, and hair product. For my hair, I have a couple of different products that I will use, depending on how long my hair is at the moment. I have a wax that sports medium hold for when my hair is short, while I have a wax with strong hold when my hair is long {like it is right now}. I don't use any lotions or anything like that.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well, In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

When I start my daily ritual, I get up, take a shower (using shampoo and conditioner, body wash) and then brush my teeth, followed by mouthwash and deodorant.

I use lip balm a LOT. I seriously have some on both computer consoles (work and home), in my bag, and in the car. I hate dry lips.

Since it's winter, I use a lot more cocoa butter for my hands and face.

I also use either body spray or a perfume of a sort on before leaving the house for the day.

I was speaking idiomatically.

And on that note, I think Bale is a fine actor as well. He's definitely up there for me.

Bath first (so that's like soap/body wash and shampoo), deodorant, a little cologne or two and that facial wash. Sometimes I put on gel. Sometimes chapstick. Rarely I've been recommended putting on baby oil because the winter weather dries the skin quickly. I've yet to try it.

I use lip balm a LOT.
I am beginning to think the stuff is laced with crack or something...
I have tons of lip gloss and I use it a lot too, If I feel my lips get a little dry, I 'have' to put lip gloss on.

Other then that I just use skin-care stuff, like clenser acne toner and moisterizer. I then use a little foundation to cover up my acne scars and then I am ready to go.

Just the standard deodorant and occasionally aftershave when I shave. A little bit of cologne if I'm going out. If my hair is the right length, I might even throw some gel in it. Other than that, I hate chap stick and lip balm. Makes my face all greasy. The only time I use it is if I have extremely dry lips. In those situations, greasy lips are better than dry and cracked lips. I don't even get my face painted. I hate having creams and paints on my face. Anywhere else is fine =P

edit: and as for washing my hair, I just use this generic pert plus brand 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner. Its the only thing I've found that keeps the natural grease out of my hair. It's an embarrassing fact of life, but the proper shampoo keeps it under control.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

My hair seems to get dandruff every once in a while so I keep a bottle of Dandruff Shampoo next to my normal Combo bottle (Shampoo + Conditioner). Other then that pretty basic: Shower and occasional aftershave. As unmasculine as the shampoo is, Garnier seems to work the best on my scalp. Oh and Deodorant too.

Chapsticks are indeed "addictive" - not in a sense that there is crack in it, it´s more like a psychological dependance. There are also a few brands to avoid because of ingredients that may in fact damage the lips instead of protecting them.
Consumer Alert: Beware Addictive Chapstick

I avoid chapsticks like the pest, because I don´t want to disturb the natural balance. Like avoiding antibiotics unless there is really no other choice.

So, beauty products. Well - my beloved AXE Anti-Hangover shower gel (we call it XBOX gel because of the color), a nice fruity shampoo. Too bad the AXEBOX deodorant doesn´t really smell like the shower gel. A hint of cologne when I´m going out or there is some public stuff at work.
