It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

So the third season started last night with two episodes in a row. Did anyone else watch them (or at least watch previous seasons)?

I thought The Gang Finds a Dumpster Baby was pretty good. Dennis's getting back at the hippie was priceless, as well as the news Charlie got from his mom about how he's a survivor, but it just didn't seem to make me laugh as hard as episodes from previous seasons. Also, did they change that girl Charlie likes from the coffee shop? I know he was actually involved with her in real life, so many they had a split and she got the boot from the show. It's a shame because she was kinda cute.

The second episode (The Gang Gets Invincible) was a little better than the first, but I guess my favorite scenes revolve around Charlie and Frank since they're absolutely hilarious together.

Also, between the two episodes there were hardly any scenes in the bar. Anyone else notice that?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I like this show. The latest episodes were pretty funny. I only got to see half of the first season. The second season was hilarious.

No, the waitress is still in the show. She was in the last episode working at that Chili's-esque restaurant until she was fired. She looks a bit like Kaitlin Olson nowadays with her hair being blonde and all (plus, their eyes look very similar).

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Ahh, I missed last week's episodes (just watched 3 and 4 the other night), so that's good to hear. Thankfully I'm getting cable on Wednesday so I can actually watch the new episodes when they happen.

(Are we the only people here that watch this show?)

I watched it the other week also.

Funny as hell how they were trying to get some amazing footage on that camera and they go into Chinatown expecting to see a Kung-Fu fight.

Instead all they get is a Wii Tennis tournament. XD

I've only just got in the loop with this show, so i'm catching up on Season 3 that's just being aired there I'm assuming. Anywho, I LOVE it - I think it's got the brutal yet subtle humour that I like the most. The fact that there isn't really a high moral message at the end of any episode seems to make it so much more entertaining. For example when the gang get mugged and all the guys run off and leave Dee to take the beating...oh that made me laugh.

My quote of the moment that I just seem to laugh at every time for some reason "No one understands Charlie's retardation better than I do". And the green man = epic.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

The word definitely needs to get out about this show. No one I talk to outside my circle of friends seems to watch it. Best thing on since Arrested Development.

Though to be fair, I avoided this show for a long time solely because of Danny DeVito. He has pretty hit or miss style when it comes to comedies, so I was bit skeptical at first. But, he is really awesome in this show. Frank is such a great character. Anyone catch the episode where he drops a bunch of acid, then thinks that he is trapped inside the bathroom of a winnebago? Amazing.

This episode has been one of my favorites. Mac's awkwardness in front of the camera kills me.

"Dude why are you sweating so much?"

and
"You looked scared!"

Haven't really been staying caught up on this season too much, though. My brother has them set to record on his DVR, so I'll see them all eventually.

I had seen a few episodes here and there but didn't start to really appreciate the show until I watched through seasons 1 and 2 after buying the DVD box set. I think the writing is very well done since scenes turn out funny no matter which character is the focus.

Every time Charlie's in a scene I feel like he's the best character. Not just because what's written for him is great, but the guy that plays him is fantastic as well. I mean, his change when he's going to strangle Frank while they're in his bad place during the episode the McPoyles take the bar hostage had me dying.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I didn't avoid the show, but I understand what you mean - I thought when Danny DeVito came into the show he could've ruined it BUT I think he's done an amazing job as Frank.

I LOVED the moment in the latest episode I watched with the serial killer, when the guy comes in and says "What are you guys doing in my apartment?" "...." then Frank starts the chainsaw. God that made me laugh so hard. The timing of the delivery in this show is AMAZING. "Hahaha....your Grandad's a Nazi" is a PERFECT example.

Every time Charlie's in a scene I feel like he's the best character. Not just because what's written for him is great, but the guy that plays him is fantastic as well. Haha I loved that episode! I love how quickly he snapped out of his psycho mood, the lack of morality in the show is what makes it so funny.

Oh, also, upon rewatching the end of that episode (where they're taken hostage) I realized that not only was the final scene on the roof out of Die Hard, but Frank shoulds YIPPEE KAYAY MR. FALCON which is just classic.

Also, Frank does have his own myspace where Tom's his only friend.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I didn't realise about the Die Hard homage...i'll appreciate it more when I see it again =p.

And the award for the strangest, yet most amusing off-topic post goes to...

^^that guy!

I fucking love this show. Amazing writing, amazing acting, amazing direction. It's one of those rare shows where NONE of the characters are played off as moral role models. Definitely one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

Legend has it that the next episode is the season finale.

I LOVE this show. I found it completely by accident and had no idea what it was but that it was awesome. I have to say my favourite all time episode is either Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare or Charlie Gets Crippled. I don't know what their writers are taking but I hope they never stop.
