Double clicking issue

I don't know what the fuck. My mouse keeps double clicking whenever I click on something, so like, if I have two full sized windows up, it'll close both of them, and highlighting is impossible, and it makes things very, very frustrating.

I checked through m Cursor options but nothing. It isn't a Firefox issue either, since this applies to everything I click on. Please advice.

Have you checked with another mouse?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

This is coming from someone who uses a Wacom Tablet.
Your mouse is dirty. or busted.
or the cable of the mouse is.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah, it sounds like your mouse is dying/dead. Mine was doing that too, just replaced it and the problem went away.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Sucks. I love this mouse. It's a limited edition black and grey Microsoft mouse with 5 buttons. Complete with filth. It sometimes cuts out but I wasn't aware it could start doing stuff like double clicking when it's dying. I'll try cleaning it and see if that helps.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Maybe you have Parkinson's. Hope this helps.

Try taking a nail file and sticking it underneath the button that's sticking. My ancient MS optical mouse does that now and then, and all I have to do is push the buttons up a little and clean out all the gunk that's caught on the innards of the mouse.

Good news. I took kit apart, cleaned it, soaked it, put it back together and it works fine now. It looks like mouse-chan still has life left.

Thanks for the advice.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?
