can you prevent anyone from changing the time on mac os?

probably a strange question but is there any way of preventing anyone to change the time on mac os 9? or just make it so you can't just go in and change the time so easily?

I don't about macs, but then they could still change it by going into the bios setup if works like that on Mac PCs.

for windows you could lock the whole world out(but then still can be changed in the bios >_>)

But why would a time change be needed unless its incorrect?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

We have an OS X computer here, and while I don't know much, I can tell you this: admins can lock everything in the system preferences, including the date and time. The locks are protected by the admin's password even if he's signed in. Whether this applies to OS 9 is beyond me!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

You could just remove the Date & Time Control panel. Copy it to a removable medium of some sort. IIRC, it became a regular application a long time ago (rather than a CDEF or system extension), and its presence isn't critical to the operation of the system.

I was speaking idiomatically.

It's inside the Control Panels folder, which is inside the System Folder.
