Windows Movie Maker? It's definitely simple and can the two tasks you asked for.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Hmmm...another question.
What can Adobe Premier? do that Windows Movie Maker can't...? :|

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

NO. Do NOT use WMM. Seriously, I advise you that you must stay away from that awful program for many reasons.

Here are some.

1) it freezes, lags and doesn't do anything right
2) it was created by Microsoft

I highly recommend you on staying away from WMM and getting Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 7.0. It's a fantastic program!

He's not going to be a professional film editor. So what, it's jacked as shit. But it's free and probably installed on his computer.

You can always...sample programs though.

How ya doing, buddy?

Yeah, I guess. But still, it could be your second alternative since it's very easy and simple to use (Sony Vegas), but if you'd go for somethiing that's free, then I think you could just put up with WMM.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Adobe Premiere definitely is awesome... waaaay better than WMM. I have never used Sony software so I don't know what to tell you there. But Premiere is really easy to use, I think, and really easy to find.

Hmm. Well, if he wanted to make just one quick video, then I think that he should use a free program, but if he wanted to use something long lasting, then yeah. Vegas would be good for that.

Virtual Dub's free?! When did that happen O_O'
