Eurovision Song Contest 2007 - credits: votes by: Eastern Europe

www.eurovision.tv

On Saturday, the entire European music society will be sitting in front of the TV again to watch this years Eurovision Song Contest. As always, there will be breathtakingly awesome songs performed by clever and witty artists. The most interesting part is the voting, though, who will get 12 points, who will get one point ("Germany... one point" lol)

So yeah, don't miss that one

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Our song is absolutely awful, quite possibly even worse than Gemini. But it could just be cheesy enough to get us some points this time.

I don't know if DJ Bobo passed the semi-finals, but even if he didn't, he's still a winner.

Switzerland, 12 points.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Well, with a bandname like "BONAPARTI.LV", which is definitely and obviously blatantly longing for an association with "to party" or "good party / party good", you really can't make anything wrong, can ya?

Oh, and DJ Bobo got eliminated in the semi finals, but that's okay, his song was a catastrophy -->

(rolleyes)

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Sure, why not. The Eurovision chats have always been fun, but the "afterparty" chats have been a disaster.

God Denmark's song was awful. Thank god he/she/it didn't win. What's with all the drags all of a sudden?
Anyway, I actually thought that Israel's song was somewhat listenable (is that even a word? I didn't think so...=( )

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

There's something about our entry this year that I like. I don't know what the hell it is, but it's there.

Meh, I'll be cheering for the UK anyway. I always do, no matter how painfully cringeworthy the song sounds!

Well that was pretty shitty. I assume there will be discussions regarding the voting system. There are eight fucking former Yugoslavian republics. Although Serbia also got points from Western countries, this was pretty boring. The song itself was a disaster, too.

Oh well, at least we had some fun in #gfchat. See you again next year

How did Serbia win? It certainly wasn't the song that won it for them.

UK had another disastrous year again, and our song was probably one of the better ones.
Finland or Sweden should have won it, Russia were a bit of a disappointment.

Yeah, the song was not bad. But I think the performance was a bit too kinky. It also surprises me that Sweden didn't get more points. And why the fuck did Russia get so many points, that song fucking sucked.

The Serbian song was just . Way too melodramatic.

I didn't expect mush from the Eurovision Song contest this year and, frankly, I didn't like our(Sweden's) song very much and I think The (W)Ark(!) are a bunch of losers who need to get a real job instead of singing shitty pop music. I'm actually glad we didn't win because we really didn't deserve it at all. We need to know how it is to really struggle to get to the top or else shitty songs like that'll keep popping up year after year.

Serbia winning didn't come as a surprise though, but my personal pick was Georgia. It's not often you hear good, original, music in the ESC and it actually came as a bit of a surprise to me that something this well done actually made it to the finals .

Overall the ESC was better than I had expected, but, then again, my expectations were very low from the start so exceeding them was an easy task indeed. All it took was one good song.

Are you sure she's a she? I mean, I watched the song a couple of times, and I couldn't see if it was a he or a she. I just called it an it...
