Russian Squeaking Alien found...and eaten!?
http://english.pravda.ru/science/mys...lien_monster-0
If it's not true, it's still an awesome story, and I laughed. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Wow, that's really-
Oh wait, that's just something from Pravda. Somehow the article lost pretty much all credibility all of a sudden. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I don't really believe this article could be real for a few reasons.
1. I'm not sure what Pravada is, but if it was a new species or something, woudln't CNN or National Geographic be interested? 2. Those russians could have been very famous/rich if they discovered a new species of fish. 3. I don't think someone would be so stupid as to eat something when they didn't know what it was. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Whoa, that's a freaky looking fish/alien/piece of debris. Not to the extent of a nightmare for me but close to it. And somebody ate that thing?
*faints* Actually, I take it back. That final close up of the thing's face is definitely nightmare material. X_x Edit: The more I think about it, the more I think it's all a facade. =/ I was speaking idiomatically.

It looks like a type of ray as viewed from the underside. The physiology is very similar.
It most likely is an undiscovered species of this family. At least that's what first came to my mind when I saw the video. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I think I remember seeing something like this over 5 years ago.
I'm pretty sure this was a fake; or some rare, but not brand-new, type of shark. Also, Pravda is notorious for being tabloid-esque. I wish I could be more precise FELIPE NO |
Yeah, I clearly remember having seen this exact video some years ago. Too bad the article claims it was just discovered two weeks ago, eliminating all chances of it being real.
Most amazing jew boots |
Pravda is like the Russian equivalent of News of the World.
Pretty hideous. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I figured it was a hoax (the video is hosted on "fark.ru"), but it was still really funny. Can you imagine eating what you think is an alien?
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Plus... The "sea monster" did not squeak. Without squeaks we have no alien. Sorry guys. Pack up your probing equipment and head back to Roswell.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
That thing is freaky looking. Can't believe they ATE the damn thing. The could have been credited with the discovery of a new life form. Fucking Russians...
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Chocobo |
Even if this were real, I just can't believe these guys would eat the thing. I mean, what's the thought process behind that? "Hey, this could be an amazing scientific discovery, an alien or something that could make us all rich... Let's eat it!"
How ya doing, buddy? |
lolwtf. There was some dude in an article on here a while ago that came across a six-legged deer. AND HE ATE IT. What's wrong with people =(
"A joke by mother nature... MUST DINE!" Video doesn't work. Just some darn Saudi Arabian yodeling on a broken video. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.

It's more likely a terrestial fish that we haven't discovered yet than an alien. I'm starting to suspect that this is probably just a made up hoax (albeit a pretty good one, as the thing does look kind of convincing), and I don't think they would've ate this thing without at least preserving part of it for scientific study (then again, a guy did eat a 6-legged deer...lol).
FELIPE NO |
Russians are poor, so they make up anything to get publicity money.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
It's too bad that it's a hoax, since that thing is really damn creepy to look at. I have a hard time believing that someone would actually eat something that looks like that and was squeaking at them though.
I could swear there was a similar thread about that video a year or two ago. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
The thing looked like it was flipped over on its backside, maybe they should have shown the other side. I think that we all know that the fish at the bottom of the sea would probably have their mouths facing the floor so that they could get food from off the floor. Besides I am leaning towards the thing being a ramora or something simular.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I don't know if this has been mentioned, yet, but Pravda is a Russian tabloid.
Also, the fish/specimen thing, even from the low quality video looked like it was fabricated. For example, the term "like a dead fish" refers to the way fish are flacid and behave like thin bags filled with jell-o, after expiring, yet its tail was still erect after it had died. One would think it would be drooping off of the end of the table. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. Posting without content since 2002. |
As far as I know and from what I've read in local newspapers mentioning that article, it's actually a rather old fish which belongs to the shark family. Some wise-guy said that, but credibility seems to have gone missing the past 60 years.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Why do people eat things which they find, that are weird? If its true I wonder if theres more of its kind. If it isn't very funny and interesting.
Kinda looks like a deformed stingray/manta type thing/ What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
