Backing Saves Up

Is there any way to backup PS2 saves to a computer hard drive? Something like a DexDrive, or even some crazy exploit.... I have a slim line and an older PS2 (slim line works better)....

....any help?

I bought some Xploder-thingy which could do exactly that. It was so fucking slow though, so I never did use it.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Xploder, huh? Isn't that also some sort of cheat device? I'll check it out. Thanks.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

One I used was Action Replay, it worked pretty well. It just copied you saves to a USB key that you inserted and from that you can tracsfer the files to your computer.

Thankfully the PS3 has this backup feature built in.

Go with Codebreaker and nothing else.

It allows you to use a flash drive, and unlike other devices there's no chance of corruption.

Highly recommended.

If you have some sort of exploit installed on your PS2, you can just use a filebrowser (e.g. uLaunchELF) and copy memory card saves to USB, HDD or transfer them to your PC via FTP.

I just regularly back up my savegames to the internal HDD of the PS2 or to a USB flash drive. No external software required.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I'd recommend Rock's proposal. If you can run the exploit on your PS2, then uLaunchELF will allow this without any additional purchases.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Another advantage of the uLaunchELF method is that savegames are stored in their original "raw" format, as opposed to Codebreaker, Action Replay, Xploder and all that stuff using proprietary file formats.
