Issues with a new motherboard

Ok, so one of my buddy's just got a new motherboard and he's recently tried installing it.

He installed it and etc etc and so on, BUT. When Windows tries to load up, he just gets a BSOD. Now, the error code on that is 0x0000007B. I THINK the error has something to do with the DRIVE being non-SATA and the board primarily supporting SATA drives? But it's a little fuzzy.

(He apparently swapped the drive over to another case, and scanned it for viruses and errors and all that crap and it came up clean)

Any advice on this, guys? I'd like to hear from you before I give him any advice about tearing it apart. =/

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well I hope he was smart enough to reinstall Windows when he installed the new motherboard, because Windows doesn't like big changes like that.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I've just done a repair windows while putting in a new mobo, so that may work as well.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
