Two Civil War books. xman25 Jam it back in, in the dark. |
52 #30
TEEN TITANS #41 X-MEN #193 ARMY OF DARKNESS #12 Good week for me. Especially since I don't get paid for another week, so I'm not missing much. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
For me:
Deathblow #2 Civil War tie-ins ------Black Panther #22 ------Captain America #24 Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #14 Sensational Spider-Man #32 Stan Lee Meets Doctor Doom Ultimate Power #2 Potential purchases are Immortal Iron First #1, Onslaught Reborn #1, Ultimate Vision 0, What If Wolverine Enemy of the State, and Transformers Escalation #1. As far as my must buy list, it's a pretty light week compared to previous ones. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Onslaught Reborn's being done by rob liefeld, right? I'll be staying away from it like the plague.
How ya doing, buddy? |
I'll be getting:
Avengers Next #2 Batman #659 Captain America #24 Flash the Fastest Man Alive #6 Superman/Batman #30 Teen Titans #41
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Liefeld has improved - but not much. LOLin at Sue Richards.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
Avengers Next #2--The second best thing this week. A fun issue with no problems that I found. Making him Ultron Extreme may be a little cheesy. I'm really looking forward to the next issue and am anticipating learning who this woman is.
Batman #659--A decent issue. It's nice to see Batman doing detective work, especially since it puzzles him. The fight scene was a little choppy, but the story itself was solid. I'm not sure how well it fits in with Morrison's story (especially since there's no mention of it), but I suppose I have to ignore that. Captain America #24--Certainly better than last issue. The continuity with Civil War #4 is problematic. The plot doesn't progress much and the Hydra stuff, though interesting, may not amount to anything. Time will tell. I believe Brubaker is taking the easy way out of Civil War. Daredevil travels to Europe. The Uncanny team goes to space. And he starts writing Captain America a slower pace to avoid as much Civil War contamination as possible. Flash the Fastest Man Alive #6--A bit disappointing. The final fight was anti-climatic. I think Bart's calculation of the bridge's life is a bit off, I think. Flash has apparently developed a new power. It'll be interesting to see if anything comes from it. The explanation of where Bart was and where Wally presumably resides is weak and doesn't seem to be consistent with how things happen in Infinite Crisis. Superman/Batman #30--The plot is starting to make sense, I suppose, but where these characters are coming from has yet to be explained. Superman could potentially go out of control. Again. Batman apparently has access to the Fortress. I wonder when Supes put that into the security. He needs to improve it considering an enemy got inside. And why does Luthor call in Plastic Man? I don't know. Considering Luthor stopped being the head of Lexcorp shortly after One Year Later and Supes created the Fortress after defeating him, the continuity of this title clearly doesn't match up with the rest of the universe. Teen Titans #41--The best of the lot. Bombshell is explained. There's a great fight scene, with the Titans actually fighting as a team. The art is odd at a couple of spots. The return of that one Titan doesn't seem necessary. I'll just assume Johns has a purpose for him. And now we enter Titans East... FELIPE NO |
Captain America is awesome, Brubaker is doing a great job. If I had the money I wouldbe buying these books, not downloading them.
