Is there a way to block flash ads?
A lot of the sites I frequent have that annoying ass mosquito flash ad, where it wants you to zap the mosquito that is making an annoying buzzing sound to win a free laptop or some other stupid shit. I like how Firefox lets you block images from certain domains, which is pretty nice when sites don't use their own servers to host ad pictures, but I can't right-click and block flash ads like pictures. Any way to do this?
Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
Install adblock. Also get the filterset.g updater. That'll catch a heck of alot of stuff.
I also use a neat little extension called Flashblock. Any flash anywhere is replaced by a button you can click on to play that flash file. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I second adblock and filterset.g.updater. These have reduced the number of flash ads that I see to a minimum, well actually, I can't remember the last time I saw a flash ad, they really are that good.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
Awesome, I'll give those a try.
