Email Notification Program
I’ve always used AIM to notify me whenever I have received a new email, but it now also notifies me when I have received an email from ‘myscreename’@aol.com, and there’s no way to turn this AOL account off (that I know of, anyways). It’s kind of a pain opening Outlook every time I want to check to see if I have gotten anything, and was wondering if there was a program out there that could check for me.
I’ve seen the Gmail notifier program, which looks perfect, except it only checks Gmail accounts. I was wondering if there was something out there similar to that. I’m using my school email, and I currently use Outlook to manage everything. Any ideas? Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
I use Trillian. Even Trillian Basic comes with the ability to input your e-mail. Gives a nice notification and a hotlink to a login for your mail. Try that =Y
How ya doing, buddy?
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.

I use Pop Peeper for my yahoo and gmail accounts.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Can Trillian alert for gmail?
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I'll be blunt and ask: have you tried Thunderbird? You can set it to automatically check your AOL email as well as just about any others you have.
I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() Currently Watching: D.Gray-man, Red Garden, DESU NOTO | Suggest something? Currently Playing: Disgaea 2 <3 Character of the Moment: Osaka! ![]() |
