Spooky sites and other things
So, in light of Halloween, share some websites with scary info (preferably none that are nothing more than a stupid tests that then show you a stupid/spooky image followed by a scream).
Also, do you believe in that stuff, or are you too de-sensitized to be scared anymore? Movies for the most part don't scare me much anymore, largely because they rely too much on throwing stuff in your face for a few seconds (like a creature running past for like a split second, followed by some music), and requiring people to do stupid things ("oh look, here's an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere. Let's go in and explore, shall we?"). Ironically, I remember being really spooked by a scene in the Exorcist, and I don't even know if this was intentional, was a subtle thing, or just my mind playing tricks with me: Spoiler:
But games can still spook me, the latest ones being Silent Hill 4: Spoiler:
And Fatal Frame 2 on Xbox: Spoiler:
And reading up about haunted areas does get to me after a while if I read up on it too long (like I heard the basement to one of the dorms at my school is haunted. Not surprisingly, a nearby religious college has a lot of hauntings in it, requiring the priests there to exorcise them. The hauntings seemed to have stopped after they bless the area, so it must be working, till the next person decides to commit suicide anyway). Jam it back in, in the dark. |
