Strange Monitor Problem

This started yesterday for reasons I cannot understand.

If I delete a video file (AVI, MPG, etc) - my monitor turns off and then back on. I mean - I can delete the file no problem - but monitor refresh is... really, really strange and any other file deletes without this happening.

Any clues?

How ya doing, buddy?

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say it's a conflict with software from either codecs or drivers. I would check the event viewer in the control panel/administrative tools/event viewer and check all logs to see if anything turns up. Worse case it could be the video card.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
