MIDI Output Delay with Reason
I'm not sure if it's the Output, but maybe it's the ram on my computer...
I have a Yamaha USB-MIDI Interface UX16 + Up to date computer + Yamaha Keyboard. I have everything installed according to instructions; it connects/recognizes fine. In Reason (Music program), I can input the notes in time and it displays the note in time. But the problem is the Sounds coming from Reason are delayed a half second; when I press a key, the note comes out of my stereos a half second. But it works fine when I PlayBack. Any ideas? Output is delayed because your sound card and computer are not designed for realtime playback. You need to get yourself a sound card which has a special ASIO compatibility with it. You usually find this in music production specialty sound cards like Echo Audio's. This system significantly streamlines the sound production of your computer.
