Firefox problem

Some kids recently installed yahoo messenger onto my computer, and along with it came the annoying yahoo toolbar. I deleted it and unistalled all the yahoo related programs, but there is still one affecting firefox. Whenever you type in a website name, such as "google" or "gamefaqs", firefox would take you directly to the site. Now however, if I type it in, it'll take me to the search results page for yahoo.com. How can I fix this?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Did you delete the tool bar by going to add/delete programs? Because even when you delete yahoo messenger, the tool bar doesn't come out with it.

Yea, I deleted the toolbar and everything else yahoo related from add/remove programs.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Might I suggest you use Portable Firefox as your local browser? It doesnt use the registry and SO when issues like these arise, just delete the whole directory (but copy your profiles folder for bookmarks, extensjions, cookis etc, ) and replace it again for a clean firefox. Get it at

www.PortableApps.com

I was speaking idiomatically.

Though bear in mind, Portable Firefox is crippled where extensions and themes are sometimes not compatiable.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
