Action Replay Max
So, normally I don't really care about codes for games, but I recently found out that the only way to reformat a PS2 memory card is using one of these bad boys, so I figured it would be a good investment since I plan on hanging onto my PS2 for a good while longer. The package I'm looking at also supports VCDs and MP3 discs for PS2 use, and apparently supports some emulation too.
To those who have bought it: did you ever mess with the video formatting or the retro game emulation? How reliable was it? Was it even worth messing with? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Okay, but that doesn't really answer any of my questions.
(You know, the ones about the features that your product does not support.) This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Of course it doesn't. This isn't a cheat code device like the Action Replay.
All this does is allow you to backup and reformat PS2 cards (along with some other things) and it's half the price. If you're just looking to do that, there's no point in getting something more expensive "just for codes". I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Did you just skip the part where I talk about VCDs and game emulation?
Also 22.00 != 1/2 of 29.99. Either you're trying to help, or you're not, Elixir. I'm leaning toward the latter right now. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Of course you should know by now that I'm always working in my own currency. Not everyone lives in america.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Yes, that's right, Elixir. It's MY fault that you misinterpreted me. Could it possibly be that I am not solely interested in the savegame features and am looking forward to watching VCDs and/or playing emulated games? Just maybe? FELIPE NO |
K, you just reminded me of the feature AR Max has. I have a burned copy that I load through Swap Magic to get it to work. I can say that, yes, the media player and the genesis emulator (PGEN) works, although slowly. It could be that I'm running everything off of a pendrive, but that's pretty damn good. Codejunkies.com has the PC software that you COULD use to burn the media onto, though you will need it to convert your video in order to be watched on the PS2. The media may play better if ran from a CD-R rather than a pendrive. With the emulator, you just click the "add emulator" button in the software and it'll add an "autoexec.elf" so AR Max will pick that up. Just place a genesis rom right under it (.bin confirmed working for me), and the Media Player in AR Max should pick up the emulator first thing. Good luck.
How ya doing, buddy? ![]() [ SCHWARZE-5 - Helger Collins ]
