These songs all sound pretty bland to me, aside from Bangai-O which has worn on me greatly but is still alright. I had a tough time divvying out points between these tracks.

It's a mixed bag, sure, but I believe that this panel actually reflects an unusually broad spectrum of the regular participants' preferences. There's no clear cut winner this time around so it's a good batch overall.

I was speaking idiomatically.

This is the best battle in a long while. Normally, you figure you'd hand out maybe 8 points amongst the 8 tracks on average. I took a look and it seems I gave 12 points to these 8 songs. Now I have to hand out half that amount. Most weeks, I seem to not agree with the winners, handing out maybe 5 or 6 points amongst 8 songs. There was even one battle recently where I had only given two winners points, so I had to struggle and figure out a third track that I didn't like to give points.

This is way too hard to decide though, so I'll just hand out points with a slight bit of bias and a feeling of regret that the other songs didn't get points.

Am I the only one who thinks that Don't be afraid has the most dead on opening impersonation of Bon Jovi's Runaway that I've ever heard? It's uncanny.

This was an okay battle. Not a lot separating the tracks. Every track was one I gave points to, but not many did I pick to win its week.
