FTP can't connect... sometimes

So i can connect fine to seanne's ftp...

L-sama or a few others though i attempt and it just times out...

I thought it was their servers but it doesn't make sense that i can't connect to any of them.

Could there be any problems i should troubleshoot on my end?

Heres what i have done so far:

1) Opened the ports on my computer
2) Pinged the computer(s) in question successfully
3) Telnet into the computer on required port successfully
4) Tried an external FTP program ( In my case filezilla).


Is there anything i'm missing why this isn't working? Thanks

How are you connected to the internet? Direct modem? Router?

Also, if you are on FTP passive mode, try active mode. And vice versa.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

router, and im assuming passive as that is default. I have downloaded filezilla and tried to change to active but it fails, and i cant figure out how to even get to it on any other programs if this is my issue.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Suppose you connect your PC directly to the modem, can you connect to FTPs?
