Just pre-ordered my copy of Persona 3 yesterday. It feels nice to finally have something good to buy after this month or so of game industry lag. I'm looking forward to digging in to this one on Wednesday, and if I'm not mistaken, it comes with a sweet art book and soundtrack as well. Total score!

How ya doing, buddy?
Oh shit.

Just bought "Lode Runner - Majin No Fukkatsu" arcade PCB... actually i am planning on getting all four Lode Runners that IREM released in the arcades :-)
This one is the third in the series, the only other i have is "Lode Runner - Teikoku Karano Dasshutsu" wich was the last in the series... so i'm halfway with this collection :-)

Hey Stefan, got any pics of the cabinets you swap these in and out of to play? I'd love to see what sort of set up you've got going.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I have no cabinets, i use a supergun setup it's more flexible and suits my needs better... also takes less space :-)
Using gamepads to play the games, but i'm planning to re-wire my Dreamcast arcadestick to fit the supergun.

Looks like this most of the time:

SUPERGUN. I believe MrMonkeyMan has one of those for Ketsui. I've always been interested in getting one of them, but not sure how to go about doing so. Plus, PCB collecting is a very expensive hobby.

Anyway, I've bought a bunch of stuff lately, most importantly my favourite touhou games:

Guess I'll update with my July gets:

Planet Puzzle League ~ Gotta love those puzzle games. This seemed fun from gameplay vids and such, but I've gotten bored with it pretty quickly, though I'm still doing daily play just to set personal records. =/

Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree ~ The DS version was mad fun, and I perfected it, so I got this. I was debating between this and Guitar Hero but figured I'd wait on a 360, which I should get by August 14... Anyway, this game is pretty short, but the training pretty fun, and the mini games are a lot more difficult than the DS ones. I'm even struggling a bit on the memory ones. Damn faces. x_x Multiplayer mind sprint thingy is awesome though. =p

Tekken 5 and Soul Calibur III ~ Because I'm a fan of both series, but I never played these games. Greatest Hits must-get buys. I'll find time to play these at some point soon.

Mario Strikers Charged ~ OMFG. This game rocks. I got this Tuesday, and every game I've played (multi-player anyway), has been epic. Several times already, I've experience game-tying/winning goals in the last 10 seconds, twice with 0 seconds remaining! The competition is intense, both offline and online. Playing online has been ridiculous too. Worst thing to happen though: being a Yoshi team when the opponent is colored green...

Picross DS ~ <3 I'm addicted. K, technically an August buy, but whatever, whatever. Yeah, it's so easy to pick-up-and-play, especially for my long commute to/fro work. I've blasted through the easy mode and am almost done with Normal level 2. Zooming's slowed me down. I played online to see what it was like, and it's picross racing... somehow, it's exhilarating fun. Thanks to RockgamerXIII for reppin' this game. =p

I was speaking idiomatically.

And the matching component cables for PS3 and Wii.

Seeing the crispness of this TV actually makes me want to buy more games. The Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo made me thirsty for more. And its not even 1080p.

I really want Strikers and Super Paper Mario too.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Meh, it's about time I updated this with my last few purchases (and freebees )

Got the following two games for free:

Both are great games, although it can be hard to select a menu/option in SCDS sometimes. The Transformers game was impressive, surprisingly. This is the first DS game I've played that had full voice acting, and it's even good voice acting. If you were disappointed that the Decepticons in the movie didn't have much screentime, then you need to get this game.

Got this game after:

Best game on the PSP by far (from what few games I've played -_-). I've already spent many hours on it ever since I got it on launch. Twas last copy too. Planning to play a lot of it for the next while.

Now for my most recent purchase:

Finally got the thing to play solo and/or with friends. It's great so far. Level 10 Ranger/Mesmer here with a level 9 wolf named Warfang. I'm not planning on getting any of the expansions yet although I want a crocodile pet and Nightfall has it. I hear there's a new one coming too. Dungeon crawling really isn't my thing though.

Not really looking to get anything else right now. My next purchase is going to be Sims 2: Bon Voyage in September and CONTRA IV in 'the fall.' Can't bloody wait for that.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I got Metal Slug Anthology for the PS2 (probably last game I'll ever buy for it ) since I have a big love for retro classics, although SNK are taking the piss since they already released Metal Slug 3 and 4 on their own for the console.

I had already played the first 3 but I tried the whole set in a day to kind of get a sense of the whole saga. Tbh everything after number 3 just seemed like an excuse to make more money from old content, the only worthwhile editions they made were in number 6 with the multiple weapons and character based skills Btw does anyone know who the blond girl is from the first game artwork? Not Eri someone else who isn't in the games but they randomily put there for some reason

Lastly I bought a new PC custom tower from a friend, it has a lot of empty space so I can add parts whenever unlike the last piece of crap I had. Specs for now are:

XP pro edition

2 250 gig drives with room for at least another 2 drives in there

NVIDIA Quadro FX 550 card (with another 6 empty bays for adding more cards)

1 dvd +- rewriter drive and 1 dvd - drive

2 gig ram and according to my diagnostic program there's at least 10 more unused slots in there I can't even see because of some huge... great big... fan.... thingy...

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yup. Twin-sized bunk. I also have the floor model too right under it, but in a different direction.

Replacing games that were stolen.

Games stolen:

XBOX
Dead or Alive 3
HALO
Ninja Gaiden
Soul Calibur II
Robotech: Battlecry
Jet Set Radio Future

Playstation 2
Skygunner
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai
Virtual On: Marz
Grandia II

Gamecube
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
Viewtiful Joe

As you can see, I've replaced most of the good stuff. I don't think buying SA2:Battle again is worth it since I have it already for Dreamcast. Really, the only two games I still want back are Jet Set Radio Future and Skygunner, which will be Amazoned once I get settled in my dorm. I also might buy another Soul Calibur II, because the manual in the one I bought was useless, but I didn't want the nasty Platinum Edition case and boxart.

Also new Swapmagic for the win. I'm gonna buy games though so it'll be just for imports. Which I probably should buy too. And could. We'll see what happens.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I bought a Wii today along with 'Resident Evil 4' for the system. I also bought Contra III and Super Castlevania IV for the Virtual Console. It took a little while for the the Wii's controlers to function the right way. Things were jumpy at first, but things are working fine now. The controls are going to take some getting use to. I traded in a lot of stuff. I got rid of my XBOX and Gamecube along with a number of games for each. The systems and games were rarely being used these days and were literally collecting dust. I'm looking forward to 'Metroid Prime 3' for the Wii. I loved the other two 'Metroid Prime' games.

I didn't know there was a version of that cartridge that also included World Class Track Meet! I didn't know there was even a game called World Class Track Meet! WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MARIO'S RIGHT HAND? ;__; It almost looks like he had it chopped off and replaced with eggs. Duck eggs.

Hey the American Viewtiful Joe cover is cool. It's bloody PINK here. THE WHOLE CASE IS PINK. SO MUCH PINK.

^LOL @ The pink wallpaper to emphasize your point.

Meh, I bought Gran Turismo 4 after a long haitus from the series from GT1. I had GT3, but it got scratched somehow and it wouldnt read. Also Sim City 4 after not playing the games since Sim City 2000 on the PSX. Made a big city with over 69,000 people.

Next month is KOEI month for me. September 18 marks the day that Warriors Orochi will be shipped to the US. And when it arrives it will be my next purchase.

But the ratings are different. What kind of mature content did Capcom add that a 10 year old can't handle?

I have preorders for both Mass Effect and World in Conflict, but after last night, I'm afraid I'm gonna be buying Bioshock and Stranglehold.

Stupid expensive hobby.

That's because time goes slower in Australia, so 8 australian years would be 12 european years (or 16 german years).

Heh, interesting that I've never posted here.

Anyway, recently I just got me an XBOX 360 Premium (or Pro or w/e it's called). The dumb thing is that I bought it from Amazon.com to save on tax and shipping and who would have known that the one I get is defective. -_-' I had to ship it back and wait a while to get another one, but at least this one works.

So, I got Sonic the Hedgehog (next gen) and Panzer Dragoon Orta for it, since those were the main reason I wanted a 360. Also got 1600 Microsoft Points, but I haven't really used these yet. My bro wants to get Marathon: Durandal, but he's yet to get it; I really wanted to get all the downloadable content for Sonic, but after playing through the game a bit, I doubt I will. That game is a shame. I would rather get Doom, but I'm 100 points short.

Also got Mega Man Star Force Dragon (GameStop exclusive!), but have yet to play it, as I'm still playing ZX. Oh yeah, and I just purchased Lunar Knights, Skies of Arcadia Legends (new!!!), and Kameo: Elements of Power (my bro wanted this).

At least now the only game on my wantlist is Mega Man ZX Advent.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Ok, I spent almost half of my fricking salary last month. I bought a Gamecube some time ago (I'm a little outdated, I know) for a really cheap price. I got a little carried away, but whatever, I'm very happy with my new stuff.
Spoiler:

Got this posters last week.

I couldn't get Mario Strikers though .
Currently playing: PN 0.3 & Metroid Prime.

Was browsing around EB the other day. Found Luigi's Mansion for 15 bucks, Hunter the Reckoning for 8, and Eternal Darkness for 10. Those are all games i've been waiting to play, Hunter for multiplayer goodness. Got a team together and started playing Hunter last night. Tons of fun. Haven't played the other two yet, as i'm too busy playing Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy XII, and Final Fantasy I at the moment.

Just got half my money from camp, and am expecting the other later this week. I'm gonna go hit my local second hand store and see if i can't find any gems there pretty soon.

Eternal Darkness is fantastic (if you have a perchant for "not that scary, but genuinely unnerving" horror games), excellent find.
