Well, No More Heroes -will- essentially be a GTA clone, but it will have RPG elements (stat increasing/levelling up) and also online play which Suda51 have yet to talk about.

Man, you're a massive fucking tool.

If there was only a scale of measurement for how fucking toolish you are....

Question, when does anyone but Suda51 do interviews for Suda51 games?

If you want the actual information:
Quote:
Boasting a similar, super-stylised cel-shaded look, the game puts you in command of an assassin; a guy trying to work his way up the Hitman’s ladder to become the best killer in the whole twisted, morally-dubious world.
To do this you’ll have to face off against rivals wielding a ‘Beam Katana’ – a lightsabre style weapon that you control by swinging the Wii remote through three different levels (high, middle and low).
As you progress, you can buy new weapons and swords from the game’s sword mistress, as well as upgrade your skills in an RPG style.
So, go fuck off now. Also, this thread deserved a well needed bump.

I also think that the Wii only registering at three different levels (hi, mid, low) is quite relevant to this thread.

Europe is never getting Elebits, unfortunately.

What the hell is an Eledee.
Blame Europe and their insane 'PC' marketing.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

New interview with Suda51 at IGN

Nothing new really, except that Suda promises a violent game.

I'll also try my best to make No More Heroes as violent, or even more violent than Manhunt 2!
It was, if anything, a bit of a disheartening interview.

Suda51 games? Suda51 (Goichi Suda) is the president of Grasshopper Manafacture. Suda51 is not a company. Suda51 is a person.

So quit being a and just suck it up.

Very interesting game by the looks of it. Kind of reminds me of Shenmue with cell shading?

Suda 51 showed off a new trailer at GDC. Not a ton of new stuff, but you get a pretty good idea of how the game plays.

New assassin revealed, by the name of Destroy Man-- basically, a guy in a superhero suit who shoots energy beams out of his crotch.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Haha wow, Suda's definitely living up to the whole 'more violent than Manhunt!' thing. Lopping heads off, slicing people in half, now it just needs angry bleeding vagina monster from Michigan to make a cameo. And Destroy Man is the new Captain Falcon. <3

Jam it back in, in the dark.

And thank god Travis sounds like a kick-ass character now. Wasn't the voice in the first trailer the same one as Link in the old-ass Zelda cartoons?

"WELL EXCUUUUUUSE ME FOR HAVING THAT KIND OF VOICE..."
"SHADDUP FAGGOT."

Looks very promising. Don't know if it is as "violent" as Manhunt yet, but it's safe to say this is a game your grandma wouldn't want to play.

the game looks awsome but I am a little concerned about the frame rate in the trailer, hopefully it will all be ironed out by the games launch. Mario Galaxy looks amazing (pseudo-next gen look with lots of multi texturing) and runs at a solid framerate, so there is no reason why no more heros shouldn't run at a high frame rate also, especially with its simplified graphical style.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Visually, this game seems to be very similar to Killer 7, mabye a bit too similar. I'm not saying I don't like that style, but, I don't know, I guess I was hoping for something a bit different. Gameplay-wise, it looks interesting, but the city seems to be a bit underpopulated at the moment. It would be nice to be able to travel around the area on his awsome motorcycle, but if everything looks so empty, it just gets tedious to travel.

Well I am hoping that the video is early and that they are adding more detail while smoothing the framerate because I know Wii can run what I am currently seeing (lanscapes with no textues what-so-ever, and little going on) at 60fps, granted the programmers know what they are doing. Killer 7 was good and it was well programed so I expect this one to turn out to be just as solid in the end.

In comparison Sonic and Mario Galaxy booth look better and run better for now. I reference only these two games because they are the only two games I currently consider true Wii games. Till companies stop porting PS2 and GC rippoffs at least...

I can only dream

but hopefully Grasshopper has some changes up their sleeve.

Sorry, but Metroid Prime 3 was graphically great, and I thought SSBB looked up to par as well, although some would disagree.

Prime 3 does indeed look much better than GC stuff, but SSBB I'm not too sure about. In terms of visuals, everything that was shown for the game so far seemed like some texture upgrades, otherwise, it doesn't seem like something that's so much better than SSBM/

Yea forgot about Prime 3 for a second, That one does look good but I havn't seen enough multi texturing in it. It looks really really similar to Prime 2 just with more stuff going on, maybe my opinion will change when I see more of it. The fight with Ridley was the only part I have seen that nears next gen gfx.

and SSBB has much higher quality textures and higher poly counts but it doesn't look like it ws something GC couldn't do in its later years of development. Again maybe my opinion will change when I see more finished examples of it.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm rather disappointed with the turns this game has planned from the impression i originally got from it. I was looking forward to sweet, inventive, story heavy depraved action game as per Killer 7. Now we were it's just gonna be a cell shaded GTA? I'm thinking i should leave this game by the wayside.

I believe while the city environment is free to roam, you won't be able to cause GTA style mayhem at random. I'm pretty sure I read that. Somewhere. I think. ;_;
