This compilation only has spot-on (in my perception) ports of the original arcade BGM, but SFA2Gold's BGM -is- arranged SFA2 BGM. I actually prefer some of the arrangements over the originals. The "arranged" modes indeed have nothing to do with music.

There is a sound test evidently (I have not unlocked it) that has an exceptional selection of music.. there's an FAQ on GameFAQs that covers it. I can't link to it since my account is new, but it's the only FAQ listed for the game.

I hope this answers your question.(edit: ..... from over a goddamned month ago. ;_; )

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

They lost the license with Marvel itself. However this doesn't matter if they wanted to re-release a product that they already paid a license for. The only thing is that they'd have to pay Marcel royalties which depending how high they were would make the whole project worth while or not.

Wow, this is an old thread of mine. lol.

But yea, I would think only the royalties that would have to pay for. Seriously though, they've done the original SFers, and now the Alphas...I dont see why they can't do a bundle for the trilogy of the vs. series. MvC2 already came out on the ps2 so I don't think it would be wise to put it in that Marvel collection. Plus it is very different from the first three games.

It's very different, that's true. However if you've tried to get it lately you'd notice that it's a bit hard to aquire and a tad expensive.

Personally I couldn't see a vs anthology being released at least until the next console wars is in full swing for reasons already told by Karasu. Trying not to sound like something off of gamefaqs, for this anthology I noticed on the secret menus you could enable and disable updates they made to the games (that set of stars menu) I don't suppose anyone knows the settings to allow you to pull of the moves like on this sfa3 beta? :eyebrow:

I wouldn't mind seeing a Versus compilation by Capcom. They could include unlockables such as artwork, arranged music, and extra options. If they did indeed include Marvel vs Capcom 2, then it's definitely worth $50, that's just my opinion tho.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I wouln't mind EA spontainusoly combusting for the "Mavel vs EA's Mary Sues" game they released.

On the lighter side of things, I have this collection and even in 50HZ Pal it's brilliant, £20 for four very good games? Nice.

Is "World Tour" and character edit still present in Alpha 3 in this Anthology?

Quote:
This may also be partly because I know Dan is useless in Alpha 1 and 2, and therefore I would be very sad playing those games.
My friends brother defeated Akuma on the hard difficulty.. I saw it, and I still don't believe it.

No world tour and the character edit is on a hidden game menu, unless you mean those extra skills like no gaurd meter then i think they scrapped that. There is apparently a code to play co-op dramatic battle survival mode but I can't get it to work. This used to be my favorite mode on Alpha 3 on the gba because you could still get your ass handed to you 2 vs one! But I've yet to get it it to work... any code involving the triangle button while on a menu sounds pretty fake to me =/

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

There is no World Tour mode because these are all arcade builds of the SF:A games, not console ports. Therefore the character customization and all that is not present as it was in the PS1 version. However in the PS1 version a bunch of effects were cut like the dramatic KO animation (the original one) and loading screens were added which the arcade version didn't even need to load. So it's a bit of a trade off, however if you've already gone through World Tour mode on the PS1 then the Arcade version will be the only one that you'll want to play from that point on... trust me

Yeah, the main reason to play World Tour mode was to unlock the characters added into Zero 3 Upper (Guile, Satsui-Ryu, Shin Gouki), as well as the extra skills for your custom character (which I thought were rather unnecessary). Since the Anthology includes Zero 3 Upper, there's no need to unlock any characters - they're already available. I always thought WT mode was more of a chore, anyway...
