When they had announced that they were working on a new Batman film, way back when, I was praying for The Dark Knight Returns. That is probably the most definative Bat-story for me. He's downright brutal on the thugs he takes on, and even gets his ass handed to him by the Mutant Leader.

I knew it wouldn't come to pass because Supes is in the end of the series, as well as Green Arrow(not that big a deal, they could've used him no problem).

Then, there were those awful rumors about a Superman Vs. Batman film, where Superman was supposed to wear a battlesuit for some strange reason. I read the reviews on that script and nearly hung myself.

As for who made the better Bat-film? Personally, I love the Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker film. That was seriously twisted. But, I'm going to go with Burton's Batman, because I was about nine or ten when that came out, and I was so excited to see it. And, Michael Keaton made a great Bats..

Oh, speaking of other bat-films, one of the best is a 10 minute or so short called Batman: Dead End. I loved the fact that the Bat-suit was leather and cloth, instead of the body armor in every other movie(animated aside). And the guy who played the Joker was awesome(Boner from Growing Pains). Awesome stuff right there.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

In my opinion Batman Returns is the best Batman movie ever - but maybe that´s because I´m a Burton fan, and Returns was more more burtonesque than any other Batman movie. I also love the giant statues. Well, the must be someone who loves them

Batman Begins was better than 3 and 4, very very very much better. The use of brute force was a little much, what bothers me more is the portrayal of the catastrophy the villians brought over the town. Batman VS The Zombies. ^^

Funny you should mention that..that story(in the original comics) is what made DC stop having Batman kill. Before then, he'd carry around the same kind of handgun that was used to kill his parents. But in the Zombie issue, he ended "capping alot of crowns" and the decision was made to have Batman become less violent.

I was speaking idiomatically.
